My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
A little about me: my friends tell me I'm warm, funny, and always on the go! I'm a busy bee and wouldn't have it any other way (and I love it when my partner in crime has a rich, full life as well!). I love meeting new people (there really are no strangers for me), and I'm uber-social (read: I can do way better than hold my own at a cocktail soirée) and yet, I'm not a huge partier. Critical difference. I prefer to be described as "interesting," "elegant," "classy," or "beautiful" rather than "hot" or "sexy." See what I'm getting at? I'm the girl you take home to Mom. I've never used "party" as a verb. Vegas? Not my scene. Miami? Not my scene. But Paris? London? NYC? Vancouver? You bet! I enjoy a glass of wine or two as much as the next person, but I'm growing weary of the bar scene as a way to meet significant others. I imagine that's the case for many people on this site. I thought it would be fun to meet people a different way. So here I am. I think most people would prefer meeting someone the old-fashioned way, but it really is all about statistics.

I'm as independent as they come, but I don't mind admitting that it would be great to lean on someone once in awhile too. I'm very clear on what I want at this point in my life, and when friends ask how on earth I'm not married yet, the answer is simple: I haven't met the right person, and I'm in no rush to jump into anything until I do. It'll happen when it should, and in the meantime, I'm living life to the fullest! I've been down the opposites-attract road before, and I've come to the conclusion that while differences can make life interesting, there needs to be a significant amount of common ground in terms of the fundamentals (e.g. faith, politics, education, etc.) in order for things to work. So the best match for me would be a never-married, confident, ambitious, funny, Christian man with good values who inspires me to be a better person. Tall order, eh? Good conversation, wit, and old-fashioned chivalry are also huge pluses.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Have a graduate degree. Can tell you more about it later. For now, I'll just say I perform meaningful work. I'm a hard worker, and I'm attracted to the same; it's great to find someone who loves what they do. I also consider myself to be a lifelong learner. My latest project is learning French! Oui, ma chérie!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
meeting new people
parallel parking
reading maps
embracing change
finding great restaurants
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Sorry, I can't limit this list to six! My fav things: travel, long walks with my dogs, shopping, dining out, anything film-related, museums, reading the Sunday newspaper at a coffee shop, etc., etc., etc., ... you get the idea!
