My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
***Please note that I haven't updated most of this in almost a year. Sometimes I don't go on for months at a time and none of this matters much to me anyways. :) Continue on if you wish. ***

Getting to know me would be much more beneficial than reading what I know about myself. But here's the gist. Music is one of the many things I'm passionate about. I have massive amounts, more underground than mainstream, and go to shows/concerts when possible. I've made it a bigger part of my life recently by taking up the piano/keyboard/synth and have been working on re-teaching myself as well as allowing myself to be taught again. I don't practice nearly enough but I try to play and write often. I also like playing music out when I have a chance. Picked up mixing vinyl when i was a kid....didn't touch them for a number of years until late but It's a favorite hobby of mine. It's possible you'll catch me playing somewhere around town.

I'm easy going with an open mind, witty, kind, and genuine...laughing at jokes, life, or myself. I break the rules before following them. I love spending time with good friends and good people who are also open-minded, knowledgeable, interested in music, arts or anything of the sort.

I don't make time for people I can't connect with. I appreciate the little things in life, enjoying it as much as possible. I'm honest, open, willing and wanting to communicate with the people that I care about. I love sharing my life and spending time with great people. Having close friends who are in similar situations to mine or share a similar mindset, make my life easier and more satisfying.

I love cooking for a crowd and eating well. I can't resist a good bourbon or bourbon barrel aged beer *New Holland has an amazing bourbon so do yourself a favor and grab some if you are a bourbon fan*. Never been a soda drinker (water please!) and prefer tea over coffee (matcha, chai and various black teas in particular). I try to keep things balanced in mind and body. Recently I've found joy in life by being more active outdoors and indoors (life and work can tend to keep me tied up with silly things if i'm not careful.)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Enjoying it. Working on making my dreams a reality. Back in school. Taking care of my awesome kid. Art and music related stuff. I also love to travel. And take weird/colorful photos.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Music. Cooking. Arts & crafts. Driving a stick. Multi tasking while driving a stick. Giving advice. Fixing random little things (not like sinks or cars, obviously). Sharing and caring....well...sharing is caring, right?

I wouldn't know.

Recently I've been reading textbooks and cookbooks. Exciting, right? It could be!

Favorite shows/movies: I don't have cable and don't care much about TV (or movies) and my attention span doesn't allow for it which is fine by me. Sometimes I'll put on netflix or something else I can stream. I've enjoyed Always sunny, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Archer, Bobs Burgers, IT Crowd, Torchwood, Being name a few. I'm also a fan of Colbert and the Daily Show. *NOTE* I don't buy into religious or right winged bs. If you do...I'm sorry. But
For movies I will choose; La Bamba, Fight Club, Snatch, Waiting, Idle Hands, I <3 Huckabees, Rushmore, Trainspotting, Half Baked, Pineapple Express, Super Troopers, Garden State, Spun, Stand by me, Goonies, Ferris Beullers day off, Ghostbusters 1&2, Back to the future, Never Ending Story, The Princess Bride, Donnie Darko.

Favorite music: I like weird sounds and pretty melodies. I have much love for electronic music; minimal, house, Techno, electro (the good stuff like Aux 88, ectomorph, drexciya and dopplereffekt). I probably sound like an old music snob because I am, but I'm always open to new suggestions and will give anything worth listening to a whirl. + jazz + funk + soul + disco + everything good

Favorites include: Matthew Dear, LCD Soundsystem, Radiohead, Miss Kittin, Deep Space orchestra, Metro Area, Solvent, Lowfish, Com Truise (and more ghostly etc), moodymann, Todd Osborn, Herbert, Aphex twin, Kraftwerk, Juan Atkins, Carl Craig, Derrick May, nightmares on wax, Theo Parrish, BOC, telefon tel aviv, Adult., Nicolas Jaar, Swayzak, legowelt, Peaches, Homework, DJ Shadow, DJ Assault, Gorillaz, The Flaming Lips, Depeche Mode, The Beatles, Elvis Costello, Interpol, The Pixies, Cocteau twins, The Who, Hall & Oats, ELP, Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, Damien Marley, Outkast, Dabrye, Portishead, Thievery Corp, Sublime, NIN...I could be here all night.

Favorite food: Avocados, mushrooms, squash, onions, kale and greens of the like. Raw and cooked seafood/shellfish (mussels might be my favorite.) Lemon anything, South American, Greek, Thai, Indian, Ethiopian.....I have a very broad palette. I've been getting really into juicing (not this kind of juicing and coming up with new tasty fruit and veg combinations.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Family, friends, music, love, glasses/contacts, and water!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Music, and how I can be a better musician. I also think about and try to focus on my current and future business plans.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Definitely not at your typical club. Maybe going out to enjoy good music with good company...or staying at home and doing it better.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I liked Hanson as a teenager. Don't hold it against me.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You have common sense. You don't have a narrow mind. You enjoy making music and/or being creative and have tips or stories to share on that. I'm also up to discussing our philosophical views, etc.
