I am of southern origin, but by no means a redneck. I posses some southern ways, but they are extensions of good manners, and the giddiness that comes after blowing something up. I am well traveled courtesy of my time in the Navy. After fulfilling my obligation, I got all high on Ayn Rand novels, and decided to go into business for myself. (fwiw-I am no longer the proselytizing "randroid" of my early 20's)

I share a live/work space at the Brewery with a tattoo artist who is basically the sister that I never had. Critical thinking rocks my world, and I cannot suffer conspiracy theorists. I carry a strong disdain for religion and homeopathy. Vaccine deniers make me angry. I've gone to the Playa a couple of times, but NOT for burning man. I am not a burner, per say, but some of my best friends are. Sometimes my life gets pretty weird. I mean this in a good way.

Aside from my vocation, much of my life is tied to motorcycles. I have a couple of ratty Ducatis (900ss & 748), and I love them dearly. I recently picked up a dirt bike, so off grid adventure trips are in the works, as well. On Thursdays, I hang out with a local motorcycle club, with a devotion most reserve for church. I also race formula one sidecars, as a "monkey" (passenger/ballast).

I am a proud hedonist. I take my pleasure very seriously. I am extremely lassaiz-faire in my attitude toward sex/sexuality, and quite comfortable in my own skin. GGG, and all that jazz. Know that I am Polyamorous. This is not up for debate. I realize this is probably a deal breaker for anyone wanting more than a quick bit of fun. This is a big part of who I am, and I need someone of similar mindset, if we are going for the long haul. I am also very affectionate, in the day to day.

I got into canyoneering, about 3 years ago. My current skill level is "functional/willing to do it without having a panic attack". I am not qualified to lead a team.  I have been meeting new canyoneers through meetup, so my skill sets are growing. Once in a blue moon, I climb. I'll put those uncomfortable shoes to use, when Stonghold opens.

Macro: Trying to move my career forward, so that I can support my lifestyle, hobbies, and experience all things before I exit this mortal coil.

Micro: Harnessing the power of the internets to find a kink-friendly girl with a sweet record collection, a sense of adventure, a taste for the absurd, and an appreciation of mid-century modern design.

My job. I can light like no one's business. I'm a grip nerd too. I can rig just about anything.
I am an excellent problem solver, and I don't loose my shit when things go pear shaped. I work well under pressure. I would gladly close my studio if being an EMT offered a living wage.

Quiet guy, noisy motorcycle..... Unless I have my half-eyes on. Then, I'll make with the blah-blah-blah. Often times I come off as aloof, or even snobby (so I'm told). Sometimes I might actually be passing judgement, but that is not always the case. I can be slow to warm to people, but I think that ultimately, I am friendly.

I am hell of judgmental about music. In no particular order: Shellac, Dianogah, June of '44, Rodan, Shipping News, Retox, Slint, Clickatat Ikatowi, Nation of Ulysses, Milemarker, Smiths/Moz, Unwound, Antioch Arrow, Wire, Get Up Kids, Occasionally Pulp/Jarvis, BTS, Thermals, Jawbox, Hot Snakes, Promise Ring, Polvo, Oxes, Nick Cave, Explosions in the Sky, Tortoise, etc, etc, etc..... I also dig on Northern Soul, and occasionally wax nostalgic on the punk rock of my teen years.

I absolutely despise the work of Adam Sandler, and I really thought Forrest Gump was awful.

I don't watch much TV, but when I do, it is usually some documentary, or Adult Swim type animation. My favorite comedians are Doug Stanhope, Patton Oswald, and David Cross. Tim Minchin, and Ricky Gervais are great, as well. I am also currently smitten with Adventure Time.

As for food: While I can appreciate the notion of fine dining, I really dig on finding some sketchy hole-in-the-wall vietnamese/filipino/ethiopian/whatever restaurant, that turns out to be made of awesome. Know where I can get some good Filipino food? How about a banh mi that rivals that of K Sandwiches, in San Diego? How about Russian food? Talk to me. My diet is lacking in these departments, since I moved to L.A.

I was once in a ska band. I am also considering meds, for my ADD. My spotify feed is a far more accurate reflection of my mood, than any status update.(Unless I am playing along with a playlist that I've made for bass practice)

I'm trying to put all cards on the table, so as to save all involved any head/heartache. This is "me", and if your interest is piqued, have at. I assume most women here are pelted with douchey emails and dick pics all day. I am also terrible with opening lines, so I over think, and take forever to write. Feel free to fire the first shot across my bow.

I cannot deal with a sloppy/violent drunk. Been there, done that. Don't want to go there again. Please maintain. If you are looking for someone to have children with, I am not that person. I am man-childish enough, as it is. I will be opting out soon, and this is worth consideration.

Again: I AM POLY. You must be comfortable with this if you want more than a fling. I mean really ok with it. (I'm pretty well over being an experiment/placeholder.) Pieces of my heart are and always will be scattered in a few different places, and I will always have my dalliances..hopefully you'll have yours, as well. If all parties are respectful and communicative, there should be no need for jealousy. (I should note that while I am more likely to say "why not", this does not mean that I'm railing everyone in sight.) That said, I am currently without a primary partner in crime, and I do want one. My lifestyle/expectations are a bit unorthodox, so there aren't many people out there who can pick up what I'm putting down. If you're fine with that, though, you'll get one of the good ones.
