Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I would say I'm a reasonably well balanced person. I do a lot of
different things, like sports (taekwondo, baseball, basketball),
music, software engineering, and take classes in natural science
areas. For me it's very important to find a balance, i.e., work and
study what comes to me pretty naturally, keep strong connections
with friends for both times to goof off and when I need help, and
to keep activities I can do by myself to be at peace with myself. I
try to take everything I can get away with lightly. For everything
else I try to be sincere.
I am optimistic, rational, and easy-going.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm working for an educational statistics consulting firm as a web
programmer. Not exactly your most exciting conversation at a party,
but I like using the logic side of my brain. I got hooked on
triathlon training/racing 4 years ago so you can find me cycling
through the Los Altos hills, running at Rancho SA, or swimming.
Finally, I volunteer about once a month at a free care clinic and
work as a patient advocate. I really like to play games like
"football with the urine samples" and "pinch the artery with the
blood pressure cuff."
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
"Encore" and Super Mario Kart for the Super Nintendo. I like to
think I'm a quick learner and can understand and teach science and
math subjects well, but there are people smarter than me. I have
quick reactions that help me play third base and spar in taekwondo,
but there are people more flexible than me. I tell a lot of jokes,
mostly on the "one liner" variety, but there are people funnier
than me. And idiots who know my jokes are funny but don't laugh.
But trust me about "Encore," a game where you have to name songs
that have a certain word in the lyrics, and Mario Kart. My koopa
troopa shows no quarter.
The first things people usually notice about me

I'm tall. I'm 6'3. Which isn't supernaturally tall, but enough to
be in a different vertical climate zone (v.c.z.) Some people have
told me I look like David Schwimmer, so I plan on never going into
Paleontology. One friend even told me I looked like David Arquette.
Of course my friend is an idiot and confused him with David
Schwimmer. I have a deep voice which is good in that it
distinguishes me from David Schwimmer, but bad because I have a
hard time talking in really loud venues.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
friends, music, friends' music, running, my medulla oblongota, book
stores, a working Garmin 310xt
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The next adventure I want to do. I generally just get a huge kick
out of traveling to a far away country and having multiple days
packed with activity. I also thoroughly enjoy the months prior to
the trip because work and training feel like they have a purpose.
Also, I ALWAYS have a song running in my head.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Generally I leave work, catch dinner with some friends, and then do
some sort of activity. Sometimes I'll go for a run before the
dinner. Depending on the Friday, we might go to a club in San
Francisco, play some basketball or tennis, hang out at someone's
place, or travel to intellectual shrines and contemplate the
origins of our intricately evolved, emotional friendship web.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I really like Les Miserables, the musical. Seriously. I don't
generally like musicals, but the characters and themes are amazing.
I think Frances Ruffelle (the original Eponine) has the most
beautiful voice ever.

You can kick my butt at "Encore", or if you're really HOT.
Seriously though, I'm more and more looking for something to work
long term. For various life reasons I've had a later start in this
area, so bonus points if you can laugh with (or at) me as I screw
