Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
sometimes i think my life is the most awesome movie no one's ever
i was born on the cusp of gemini & taurus & i've always
identified with being a person straddling two worlds. i'm new to
LA, but have figured out enough to know that i'm part west side,
part east side – part hippie, part hipster. part urban, part
country boy. my appreciation for fashion & interior design
ranges from the eclectic, textural ethnic pattern to clean, modern
& stark. i identify with alternative or counter-cultures such
as the burning man scene yet i work & thrive in corporate
america. i'm part superstar, part monk. my music tastes range from
electronica to blue grass to classical, but i'm usually listening
to reggae, rock, or kirtan.
i'm mostly vegetarian & hope to make the world a better place,
but i don't take myself too seriously. i love witty humor, can be
totally sarcastic, am silly, & can be a total dork. i love
being inspired by art & nature & people who do cool stuff.
mostly i just really love connecting with people & enjoying
i've been on a spiritual path that has brought me to a place where
i'm content with myself & i know what brings me joy. i also
know what triggers my issues – which i look at & continually
work to resolve. my partner will be emotionally mature, and have a
connection with her spiritual nature. she will be someone i can
communicate and share with.
yes, i would love to find a life partner, but i'm also interested
in meeting people & making friends. that's usually a good place
to start anyways.
i'm interested in someone authentic & down-to-earth yet a
dreamer who appreciates the poetic, someone interesting, fun,
funny, kind, sensual, adventurous, passionate, yet still. a free
spirit but not flakey, someone intelligent & sexy.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
i'm multi-faceted: I have a career in corporate America
(VP/creative director at a TV network in-house ad agency), but I
also teach yoga, taught karate in NYC before I recently moved to
LA, am a reiki practitioner, and am involved in the burning man
community. I love to dance, and 5 rhythms dance is a regular
practice for me. I love to sing kirtan, and play my harmonium a
lot! I try to live consciously and hope to make a positive impact
on people and the planet. But all that doing is less important to
me than how I'm doing it, and i'm always striving to bring joy
& presence into my being. My life is my art & a prayer
& a celebration.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
seeing the beauty in things, kissing, figuring out systems, giving
massages, making mashed potatoes (OK, cooking in general), solving
spacial problems, dancing, snow boarding, sleeping, laughing,
listening, advising on personal issues, teaching, asserting myself
gracefully, fixing & building stuff (yes, i have power tools
& i know how to use them!). i'm pretty balanced between the
left brain rational, linear thinking and the right brain emotional,
creative intuition. making awesome costumes!

a small sample: mutant message down under, anything by Osho,
Autobiography of a Yogi, Wind-up Bird Chronicle, Brazil (the
movie), Rushmore & Bottle Rocket (or anything by Wes Anderson),
Bob Marley, the Dead, electronic music, Rolling Stones, Van
Morrison, Flaming Lips. i work in TV, but i almost never watch it,
except as research. i should really just cancel my cable service...
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
music, dancing, humor, community, late afternoon sunshine –
especially when it shines through green leaves, mashed potatoes.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
spiritual/personal growth stuff, artsy stuff, sexy stuff, food...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
often laundry, chillin' at home, out for dinner or at a party.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
pretty much anything (i'm pretty practiced at being vulnerable),
but not here!
