My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm Michael and I believe in trying everything at least once (which explains why I moved to St. Louis). I enjoy films with subtitles, board games, Dennis Lehane novels, British TV, and iced black tea. I spend a lot of time reading about economics and science.

I’m not athletic by any means but I really enjoy a good workout. Forest Park is my second gym.

I went to college in New York City and grad school in the bay area. I now work as an engineer in the defense industry.

I dream of all the places I have yet to go, the people I could meet, and the things I get to try when I’m there. I don’t see St. Louis as my home but I want to make the most of my time here. I want to try everything the city has to offer and to share that experience with someone.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I was slow to realize how many good restaurants are in St. Louis. Now, I'm in the process of going to every decent restaurant in town (and the great ones twice). I really like Brasserie and Seoul Taco.

I'm trying to get my 10K (lap around the park) time to under 1 hour.

I’m also casually looking for a more fulfilling job. In my spare time, I like to hang out in coffee shops and maybe write cover letters.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Remembering everything but names. I can remember what people do and their favorite beer but can’t seem keep their names in my head.

Losing arguments about politics and economics but that’s the best part. When someone is able to convince you otherwise, you become wiser as a result.

Finding the best things to order at a Chinese restaurant even though I can’t read the secret Chinese menu very well.

I was really, really into anime in college. The love has died down but I still read a bit of manga.
