My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
As the user name suggests, my name is Michael and now is the part where I get to take a few moments of your time to share a little bit about myself to see if I'm the kind of person that is interesting to you, the viewer.

First, I am planning on moving out to Oregon by February 2016, and so what I'm looking for is mostly friends on here, but I am also open to the possibility of something more because I am currently in an open relationship and I live with my partner. So, if that is something you are not comfortable with, I respect that and wish you the best in your travels on this planet.

For the rest of you that have decided to stick around and see what I'm all about, I'm more into Star Trek than Star Wars, but I do have an appreciate for the episodes, just not I, II, or III. Please don't let VII be a bust. I have a little container garden outside to see how green my thumb is because I want to be able to grow my own vegetables in Oregon once I find a place to call my own. I'm not sure if Oregon will be the last stop on my journey, but I feel that it is a step in the right direction for what I want in this time in life, which is to be at peace and content with my surrounds and those that are around me. I don't think that's too much to ask.

Running around my house, scratching my furniture and my hands, I have a cute little kitty that I've adopted and she has an attitude all her own. Her name is Lily, but we are going to be changing it to Olga because she just has that face of an Olga person, especially since we are pretty sure she is a Norwegian forest cat, but it's hard to say when she has no tail and so it's hard to make an educated guess on that. We also have a little hedgehog by the name of Ping that likes to have own room all to herself. Those needles on her back though, they do hurt.

While not going into too many more details, I hope that this part and the rest of the profile here will help give you some additional insight to me and see if I'm the person you would like to call a friend, or just someone you want talk about conspiracy alien theories over a damn fine cup of coffee.

Oh, and here is my instagram name for those that want to do that:

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Too often do I wake up to my cat's face staring at me, purring, all the while waiting for me to get up and feed her, then let her go outside with me while I water the plants. After high school, I thought I would be done with waking up before seven in the morning, that was a lie about life no one told me about, but in their defense, they did prepare me for it, so I can't blame them there.

Once the morning chores are taken care of, it's time to fire up the computers and get to work. Working from home does have its advantages, mostly the free-ish coffee, random kitty sightings, and of course, blasting the tunes of the day, the news, or just some favorites from a while back.

After the work day is done, it's time for the afternoon chores and then possible making dinner if Jaime is going to be home. As much as I want to get away from technology, it's difficult not to just go from one machine to the next once the work day is over and my time begins. After hours could be filled with chores, or friends of Jaime's coming over, dinner with her family, etc. It varies night from night, it just depends on the day and what it is asking of us.

A few more random thoughts and intense conversations before turning off the lights, curl up in bed, and listen to the semi-quiet neighborhood. The fireworks that give me the impression of gun shots, the bass of the street cars pumping at one in the morning, the domestic yelling at four in the morning, real good fun in our neighborhood. If you ever wanted to people watch, this is the area.

It might seem a bit dull, but there is the occasional outing together and of course, the entertainment from the neighborhood helps to keep the day to day interesting.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
While trying to be too critical of myself and overthink my own skill set, when looking at myself from a third person perspective, I've received the comment of being a very detail oriented person, which ties into my work as an IT consultant with a core competency in data conversion.

Taking away the work related tasks, and aside from simply existing which is by far one of the best things that we can all share, but what it boils down to is managing myself. Whether it's time, resources, tasks, I'll break down the activity, separate it out into what I can do and when, and then achieve the goal with the best results I can produce. It helps that I play a lot of resource managing games such as Civilization V, Space Engineers, and Star Craft. Although, Skyrim, Metroid Prime, and Legend of Zelda games hold special places to me in both my memories and my hard drive.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
When I was younger, people usually first noticed the fact that I was there. Growing up, I wasn't very social since my family and I moved from Pennsylvania to Nevada and I've had a major move between cities every five or so years, until I graduate from college, but that's another story in and of itself. Talking was never one of my strong suits growing and to this day, I have trained myself, it's still a difficult skill for me because the thought is correct in my mind, but the words that I have chosen sometimes don't convey the message correctly. Hence why, I tend to keep to myself in a group or in a crowd and I look to see if there is anyone around or a small group of people that I can have an engaging conversation with until it's time to head on home or on to the next group.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
self awareness

Puppy (oldest possession)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Throughout the years, what captures my attention has changed from year to year, depending on the environment I have chosen in all considered respects such as physical residence, social interactions, or mental stimulating activities.

Currently, my focus on moving out of state, maintaining a garden, choosing a house are all future tasks that I'm planning and preparing for myself. Activity wise, sandbox boxes video games such as Space Engineers or open world RPGs such as Skyrim are very addictive games for me that can easily take up an afternoon.

The one area of thought that I've been devoting a great deal of time to is our place in this world as a species and what I can do to be a contributing member. Fact is, as best as I can see and understand it, we are one species, on one planet, and one environment, and that is all we have in this universe. Until we can identify a way to expand the species into our solar system and neighboring systems, we need to be able to live in peace because again, this is all we have, so let's just try to get along. Eco-friendly means of energy, sustainability, and efficiency are topics that keep me engaged in the world around me and consider my impact on this world.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Turning off the computers and silencing the phones, I'll open the kitchen and get cooking, finish up chores before the weekend, watching some new episodes of MasterChef of The Nightly Show on Hulu, or just spending a little bit of time playing video games or clearing out some stuff I can get rid of and give it to goodwill.

These night, along with all of the other nights, could be anything, it simply depends on what was going on earlier that day.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
During my time in California and not having a lot of social interaction with my neighbors, I decided to make a terrible choice and get a bottle of Wild Turkey and start to watch the series Star Trek: Enterprise. If you have the opportunity, don't.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Now we finally arrive at the part of the profile were I have the opportunity to provide you with a few more tips and tidbits about myself and lead you to the conclusion of whether or not to send me a message on here.

For those of you who want to have a new penpal on here or perhaps someone you want to have coffee with during the week, a new D&D player who can help round out the party, or just someone to share the joy of MST3K, send me a message and let the party begin.

However, for those of you looking for something more than friendship, such as a short term dating situation or friends with benefits, I am open to it, but please know that I want to get to know you. I want to know that the time that I will share with you is something that will benefit us as people and if we chose together to share a sexual experience with one another, I want to feel that connection between us. Hopefully this will help clear that up, but I want to be up front and honest about it. Also, if this is something you want to explore, I want to make sure that your partner is aware because I do not tolerate cheating and there is a story behind that if you are curious to know.

Closing this section and this profile, I sincerely hope that this profile has been insightful to you and I look forward to your message. With the conversations between the two of us, learning from each other, the experience that we share, whether it is platonic or not, provides a rewarding experience for both of us.

Disclaimer: I suppose I should add this to be clear 100% about some other points while I'm on this site. Ideally, I would prefer our match percentage to be roughly 75% or higher. Unlike a majority of other individuals on here, I do read and appreciate the thoughtfulness in one's profile, so I take the time to read it and see if we have the opportunity to learn from each other or to simply share in a common activity, like people watching at a bar, playing D&D with a group, and so on. Now, if I do send you a message and I don't hear a reply back, I don't want to be overbearing and causing constant notifications. I usually try to keep it to the one message at first and then again about a week or so later because I get it, we all have lives and we are not glued to this site, so the most you would ever hear from me is two messages and then after that, either you have decided that we don't share anything in common or don't feel like we could benefit from each other as friends, I accept and respect that. If I hear from you later on, great, but I'm not going to be a nuisance to anyone on here.
