My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hello! I'm a recent college grad new to the DC area. After a nice break, I think I'm finally ready to get back into the dating scene. Just a bit about me:

I studied history in undergrad with focuses in imperialism and historic preservation (if you want to see me get REALLY history horny, let's talk about the fall of the British Empire). From there I developed a deep understanding of people and reverence for the human experience. People fascinate me. I'm very extroverted and tend to mesh very well with a lot of different personality types. I'm also pretty direct: my time is valuable and I don't waste it playing games.

So if that extremely condensed blurb hasn't scared you, please read on :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm currently working as a paralegal with a foreclosure firm; that being said, I'm also looking into law school, so there's a lot of transience in my life right now. I have pretty high standards for myself, so by extension, I have pretty high standards for the people I surround myself with. I definitely prefer qualities like ambition, integrity, kindness, sincerity, determination, and humor over things like brand names and other superficial fodder.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
-Making people laugh
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
-ALWAYS how deep my voice is.
-My sense of humor
-My witticisms
-The cleanliness of my apartment
-My inability to make coherent lists
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I generally tend to stick with non-fiction (my inner historian just feels like fiction is one giant lie haha), but some other favorites are A Wrinkle in Time, The Ghost Hunter, The Hobbit, the Game of School, and Unquiet Earth.

Movies: Titanic (Judge. I don't care), the Curious Case of Benjamin Button, the Rocky Horror Picture Show, and generally anything from Tim Burton.

Shows: Downton Abbey, American Horror Story, Sleepy Hollow, Family Guy, American Dad.

Music: Literally anything but 99.99999% of country. I grew up listening to heavier stuff like Avenged Sevenfold and Bullet for My Valentine, but my inner romantic has a soft spot for Mozart and Verdi. And if you really want to get me music horny, let's talk about Strauss and Wagner.

Food: LITERALLY anything besides Thai.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
~Loved ones
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Love. Life. People. The past. The future. Humanity. Everything.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
~Drinking/socializing with friends
~Giving people life advice
~Ranting about things
~Breaking gender norms
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm actually against the marriage movement; not because I have an issue with marriage, but because the mechanisms powering the movement perpetuate the (warped) Disney-Complex image of love we have. It increases the already Herculean pressure to find love and settle down. There's more to being gay than just being in love.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
-you want a new friend

-you want a date

-you want to talk

-but NOT if you want a hookup. We've all done them! But that's not what I spent hours filling this out for. So to save mutual time, I'm sorry, but no thanks.
