My Self-Summary

Hello!

I'm a 24yr old Quantitative Analyst living in Edinburgh though that probably doesn't tell you much. I've lived in Edinburgh for 7 years, since I came to University, with a brief break in between at home in Aberdeen when I was unemployed after graduation.

I watch a lot of bad tv but prefer watching good tv. I'm currently enjoying Psychoville and looking forward to Merlin starting again. I like all sorts of movies but tend to favor epic and thrilling over anything staring Mylie Cyrus.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm working as a Quantitative Analyst in a small financial firm. It involves looking at the market and trying to work out where it's going to go next using some big equations. This also means that I'm about to loose a lot of my spare time to professional exams.

I’m really good at

Knitting. No, seriously. I knitted that Dalek in my profile shot.

Dancing - mostly the throwing some shapes after too many alco-pops rather than any sort of strict discipline but I still like to think I'm quite good at it.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

My favorite book and movie are both L.A. Confidential and Lord of the Rings. I have enjoyed reading A Void which is a book that doesn't contain the letter 'e'. My favorite author is Eoin Colfer who wrote the children's book Artemis Fowl but is currently working on the 6th book in the HitchHikers Guide to the Galaxy trilogy.

I like any sort of music you can dance to and mostly listen to Radio 1. I've just come back from T in the Park where I got my live music fix for the year.

I love any food that doesn't contain nuts. Or broccoli.

The six things I could never do without

Apart from the usual: friend, family, chocolate I could never do without:
A good book
Knitting needles and wool
Nintendo DS with Tetris game

I spend a lot of time thinking about

the coming zombie apocalypse

On a typical Friday night I am

Either drinking too much wine with my colleagues after work or watching rubbish tv with my flatmate and a pizza
