Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi! Thanks for checking out the profile. I'm 33, never married, a
traveling consultant, and I've spent much of my adult life out of
Right now I'm not interested in being somebody's sole or primary
partner. I'm looking for fun, new experiences, and friends.
I like my career without loving it. My real passion is for
traveling and for live performance. I've been doing improv comedy
for about six years.
I am looking for someone that I have a fair amount in common with.
So... if you're nerdy, open minded, physically active, love
traveling, and love attending/performing at cultural events you
should message me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Reading, traveling, working, eating, being active, pushing myself,
trying to figure out what makes me happiest. I travel a lot for
work but it is on a stable schedule.
I really want to learn how to use a "Salmon Ladder."
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being in front of people. I love presenting ideas, performing, and
making others laugh. I'm fantastic at ignoring my tonal
deficiencies and giving a rocking karaoke performance. I'm very
good at keeping my word and sticking to schedules (and can lose
patience with those who are incapable of doing either.)
I love adventures- I've spent about half of the last decade living
outside the US (East Europe, East Asia, and Latin America) and,
fortunately, am pretty good at communicating in other languages.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
In the United States I think people notice my deadpan humor
quickly. I've been told I don't smile enough, and that might be
right, but part of my reasoning is that my jokes are funnier if you
don't see them coming.
My shoulders also get a lot of compliments.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I love non-fiction, historical fiction, science fiction, Game of
Thrones (books and television series.) I loved the new Battlestar
Galactica, Firefly, The Office, Parks and Recreation, Arrow, The
Flash, other nerdy things.
My favorite books, in no particular order would probably include:
The Aubrey-Maturin novels, Les Miserables, The Dark Tower series,
Guns, Germs, and Steel, A Hero of Our Time, and The Culture series
by Iain M. Banks. I also love non-fiction travel writing.
I love all different sorts of food. I lived in East Asia for three
years and, unfortunately, that ruined American-Chinese food for me.
I also love Japanese food, Middle Eastern food, Korean food, and
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The performing arts
Friends who know when I'm joking
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where I want to travel to next. The pros and cons of traveling
alone. Food. Books that I'm reading. Did all my friends get into
serious relationships too early or am I moving too slow? Ya know,
helpful stuff like that.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'm definitely done with the partying phase of my life. I prefer
smaller groups of people and trying new things.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't always bring things up that are bothering me as quickly as
I should. I grew up around a lot of overly sensitive and a bit
unstable people and the tendency to swallow my feelings is still
there. I'm working on it. I don't lie about my feelings but I can
spend too much time trying to figure out how to communicate them
Above all though: If you're straight with me I will be straight
You should message me if
