My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am: a consumer of hummus, an optimistic cynic, a nerd and damn proud of it, a reader of the news, a seeker of political incorrectness, and probably some other things that I’ve forgotten.

I’m new to DC. I lived in NY for 5 years. I grew up in Australia.

I support the following: food, banter, learning, friendliness.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have a PhD in financial economics and I'm doing something that I think is pretty cool, all while maintaining a sense of humor about it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
not writing down lists of what I'm good at.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Apart from my mind reading abilities, maybe my accent.

Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Spicy food
The senses
National parks
Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Implicit assumptions. What should I eat for lunch? Politics and economics. Should I have another beer? The tyranny of formative experiences. Tautologies. Unknown unknowns. Non sequiturs. The news. The twentieth century. Sex. People. Isn't procrastinating just an investment in my future productivity? Which details are not worth ignoring? We're all just computer programs. Is this moldy?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
pretty damn happy.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Two things actually.

(1) I kinda think Hillary is a total badass. (Not that I agree with all of her positions, but I do think that she's a very impressive person.)

(2) The Whole Foods hummus is way better than the Trader Joe's hummus.
