What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Just moved to SF. Taking a break from the east coast seeing how they live on the other side. So far, so good. Looking for some trouble and adventures.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Overthinking
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My beard, my laugh, my calves, my nose (you wouldn't believe me if I told you how many old Jewish woman have told me how "perfect" it is).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: The Fountainhead. East of Eden. Love Hemingway and Bukowski. Nick Hornby. Augusten Burroughs. Confederacy of Dunces. Always looking for more great fiction. Malcolm Gladwell makes my brain happy. Travel and adventure writing. A few historical books a year. Love audiobooks.

Podcasts: Radiolab and Stuff You Should Know are my go tos.

Movies: Where to begin? Wes Anderson and the Cohen brothers are my favorites. Going to the movies is one of my favorite things. I try to see anything worthwhile. Too broad a topic to start listing.

Music:

Used to be an enormous part of my life but I've got to say I haven't been too impressed lately. Give me some suggestions and change my mind! (This has been improving slightly but still looking for some great active bands)

Favorite venue: The Bowery in NYC. Best setup, best sound, best size, best bands.

Go Tos: Sufjan Stevens, Woods, Pixies, Father John Misty, LCD Soundsystem, Discovery, Phosphorescent, Neutral Milk Hotel, Dawes, Delta Spirit and Deer Tick. Hence... Middle Brother. Wilco, Uncle Tupelo, Jeff the Brotherhood, The Talking Heads, Brian Eno, Ray Lamontagne, Jeff Buckley, King Khan and BBQ Show, Houndmouth, My Morning Jacket, Yim Yames, Ryan Adams, anything Jack White touches, White Stripes, Raconteurs, Dead Weather, Weezer's "Blue Album" and "Pinkerton", Bon Iver, Blitzen Trapper, The Avett Brothers, Johnny Cash, Derek & the Dominos, Otis Redding, The Misfits, the list goes on....and on......

TV: The Wire, Arrested Development, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Newsroom, Seinfeld, early Simpsons, old Tom & Jerry is amazing, Boardwalk Empire, Lost, Bored to Death.....

Food: Yup. Love it. Don't got out to eat enough in SF. Help me change that.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
the current state of things.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
That all depends. Maybe working on a good hangover. Maybe going to bed early to have a rad Saturday on some trails of dirt or snow. Maybe just decompressing with a good book or movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
If I could be anything I would be a golden retriever. Also I am a pretty terrible dancer.

Sarcasm isn't lost on you. You are laid back enough to kick back and enjoy the small things but still have some drive in life. You're funny. It's ok if you're not funny as long as you think i am. If neither of us are funny I don't think we'd be too fun to be around.
