My self-summary
Broadly speaking: Conversational, spiritual, analytical, E|INTP.

Very little of who I am is contained in the products that I like or dislike. I've gotten rid of everything I own to start over (twice, and will probably do it again er soon) and my tastes and preferences often change as I change.

Some days I am the master of my space and everything in it. Others I rely on my friends to help me keep going.

I love the people world -- the cars, the bars, the movies, the music, the vision and spectacle, the partying and the hangouts.
I love the real world -- the wind, the sun, the rain, the rivers, the deserts, the mountains, the swamps and canyons, the rocks and the trees.

I'm human. I hope you are too!
What I’m doing with my life
Currently seeking out new experiences to grow and expand what I am. That means traveling whenever and wherever I can. Been to about 2/3 of the states and 2 other countries so far and that's not enough, not nearly enough.

When I have the cash, I take classes in things like acting, languages, various martial arts... whatever seems interesting just then.

Also studying to be a spiritual healer. It involves putting my hands on people and working with their energy. Ask me about it if you're curious!

I write music and sci-fi/fantasy stories. I'm an amateur but I love sharing themes, worlds, melodies and metaphors with other writers :)
I’m really good at
Cooking (sometimes), fixing your computer, building your computer, destroying your computer with fire, most kinds of math, holding space (sometimes), moving large amounts of energy, acting, studying languages long enough to sound good but too short to be fluent, writing, organizing, setting up pop-up tents in less than five minutes, wearing the wrong clothing for the season, finding routes through difficult terrain.
The first things people usually notice about me
Besides being really, ridiculously good looking? It takes a lot to make me raise my speaking voice, even in a crowded place. I just don't like yelling. It's not a shyness thing, though.
I'm very unshy. That's another thing people notice about me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like art that makes me feel something, and also art that makes me think.

Books: Frank Herbert's Dune series; anything by Jules Verne, H.G. Wells or Victor Hugo; contemporarily, Hunger Games trilogy was good, Harry Potter, most things by Neil Gaiman, ASoIaF, Sword of Truth series, Novels of The Change by S.M. Stirling.
I know this is an unimpressive reading list, and am working on that.

Shows: Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica, Sherlock, Copper, Supernatural, Archer, Downton Abbey, Stargate SG-1, Game of Thrones, Weeds, Adventure Time!, lots of other things I'm forgetting. I'll watch almost anything if I'm bored enough.

Music: David Bowie, Ratatat, Glitch Mob, Morgan Page, Deadmau5, any good atmospheric dubstep, good ol' classic rock like AC/DC and Guns'N'Roses, Beethoven, the entire genre of Post-Rock. 2010s popular music with the folksy twinge; Imagine Dragons, Mumford & Sons, and the like.
Honestly I like bits of everything (Including the oft-excluded 'heavy metal', rap, and even country on occasion)

Food: Thai or Vietnamese is my favorite, followed by (good) Diner food, followed by Chinese. Sushi is on there too.
The six things I could never do without
Words and the spaces between them
New skills
New people
Dogs (and other cuddly (living, not stuffed) animals)
Energy-aware people
Rest (sleeping or staring at the ceiling)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to fix shit.

How to help people who are important to me.

How to make my life move faster before my body starts to outgrow my mind.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with a friend or two, taking whatever class I'm doing this month, on Reddit, walking with trees, jumping in lakes, playing games... it varies a lot.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'll try anything twice -- this is a semi-serious philosophy that applies to everything in my life

I write poems and am secretly proud of my abilities.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 21–35
  • Near me
  • For new friends, short-term dating
You should message me if
...You're an energy-aware person, or at least open-minded/curious about it.

...You understand the difference between a joke about something you know vs. a joke about something unknown to you, and why one is not offensive while the other is.

...You want to talk about travels, experiences, perspectives, stories, people, or life in general :)
