My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi I'm a techie geeky spiritualist creative hippy pansexual survivalist egalitarian person dude thing creature label category adjective noun phewggh ptoohh *spit* whoa damn, got carried away there.

So when I was a kid, I wanted to be the guy who tells astronauts it's okay to come home, but then add that they could stay in space if they wanted to 'cause space looked pretty awesome.

I love nature, all of it -- the wilder and less 'safe', the better. It's not hiking unless concrete feels creepy by the time you get back. Speaking of concrete, don't get me started on Brutalist architecture and how it's clearly designed to make you hate yourself. Why else would you purposely create something that imposing and unnerving? Craziness.

I'm a strong believer in the right of all people to craft their own lives. Very laissez-faire or whatever as long as there's no suffering created.

Fireworks, Christmas Lights and Bonfires all make me irrationally, childishly happy.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Day job is in software, yawn (unless you're into that kind of thing in which case you should know I'm a full stack dev, go me!)

Ultimate goal in life is to establish an international chain of K-12 schools. It'll probably take me decades.

I spend a lot of time hangin' with friends or reading internet stuffs. Or reading Actual Books. Get out of the city when I can, so I can climb mountains and pretend I'm Captain Kirk. I also take classes in various things like acting or kickboxing or whatever takes my fancy from time to time.

Goal for THIS life phase is to understand stuff, so I'm always trying to get traveling more and more and more and more
(next trip: Thailand and Vietnam early 2016)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
• Getting lost on road trips

• Impromptu whiskey sours

• Cuddling with dogs, cats, humans and other mammals

• Teaching people things

• Being a good, patient listener but somehow also an asshole at the same time

• Writing semi-original Science Fiction, when I get off (on?) my butt and do it

• Keeping Calm and Carrying On (but I dislike those posters)

Catching up on some Philip K. Dick and often found reading new pop-sci nonfiction about brains. Love me some brains.

Really dig visual/travel documentaries and Darren Aronofsky films. My favorite movies ever are Dark City and a Hindi film called "Highway".
I binge on anime from time to time and also goofy stuff like Archer.
Avatar TLA and Legend of Korra are top quality. Adventure Time is goddamn amazing.

I'm a fairly major Final Fantasy (and JRPG in general) nerd. Also a big fan of Doctor Who and some other stereotypical geek culture things, but I don't really do the 'fandom' thing, I just like 'em.

Listen to a lot of Post-Rock, EDM/House (Morgan Page, Armin van Buren, etc.), various flavors of Metal, some Indie Rock (if people recommend it).
Favorite song ever is Bitter Sweet Symphony by The Verve, it's one of the most perfectly titled songs in existence.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Sitting or cuddling with people in silence without awkwardness

2. Empathy

3. Naked people, I mean man physical contact is just A+ wow

4. Craft beer, Islay Scotch, and other vices

5. Old gold friends and meeting new ones on the road

6. Don't tell me how long to make my lists, OKC.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How much the world sucks, generally, and how to understand it in order to make it better. Things like, why do so many people live life purely for the purpose of raising social status?
How do you get people to change their minds about generational bigotry?
Where does the money actually go when you give it to charities, and how can you design an organization that minimizes corruption?

Stuff like that.

Oh and butts.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Chilling with friends at a bar or a movie night, or driving down the highway in some random direction until I'm outside the city, then hiking the nearest hills. I dunno I'm equal parts homebody and spastic spontaneity. Sometimes I just stay home with a beer and watch Netflix, the horror!

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
1. No kids or like, crazy hardcore ex drama
2. Be honest about who you are and what you want (you don't always have to be blunt, though, sometimes that takes away the fun)

Apathy and lack of empathy are both huge turnoffs for me, so just don't be a dick and I'll aim for the same.

That's about it! Everything else we'll figure out down the line.
