My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Techie geeky spiritualist creative hippy person. I think medium-depth thoughts about a medium-breadth of things. Jack of some trades, master of... some.

Originally from Alaska, PNW resident for ~4 years. Funny story: I burned most of my stuff before I moved here.

I have been variously told that I look like a homeless librarian, a Scottish art professor, a "hillbilly from banjo country", and an executive Goth, to name a few favorites. Oh and 'hipster programmer' but that's inaccurate, I'm nowhere near hip enough to be a hipster. I've been to like, 3 concerts ever.

Anyway I just wanna meet interesting people, man. People who know what they're about.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working as a software dev, blah blah typical Seattle. Pretty good at it, though. I'm also a shamanistic healing apprentice.

I'm working on whittling down what I own to the bare bones. Currently live in a tiny studio apodment, but the end-game is to have just a suitcase or two.

My goal for this life phase is to understand as many people as possible, so I'm always trying to get traveling more and more and more and more
(next trip: Ahmedabad, IN in April)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
• Writing semi-original Science Fiction, when I get off (on?) my ass and do it
• Writing songs/poems about twisty abstract feelings that like, no one understands, man
• Getting everyone lost on road trips
• Cooking curries
• Chilling with small animals
• Teaching people things they always wanted to know through short, simple explanations
• Knowing why people are wrong but being neither able nor willing to explain
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Catching up on some Philip K. Dick and often found reading new pop-sci nonfiction about brains. Love me some brains.

Really dig visual/travel documentaries and Darren Aronofsky films. My favorite movie ever is Dark City, and I watch a decent amount of popular TV (you know what I mean: Game of Thrones, House of Cards, etc.) and anime. Also goofy stuff like Adventure Time and Archer.

Listen to a lot of Post-Rock, EDM, various flavors of Metal. My favorite song ever is Bitter Sweet Symphony by The Verve. I really dig the band Fun., and find myself humming P!nk songs more than is strictly healthy.

Eat food that tastes good. If I could only eat at one place forever it'd be Geraldine's Counter in Columbia City.
Actually it'd probably be hunting and preparing my own food in an ethical and respectful way, but that won't happen for a while.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Sitting together with people without talking and having it not be awkward

2. Dogs

3. Naked people, I mean man physical contact is just A+ wow

4. Craft beer, Islay Scotch, and other vices

5. Friends who are there when you need 'em

6. Dirt (I get depressed easily in the concrete jungle)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How much the world sucks, generally, and how to make it better with the power of My Face.

Also how much easier life would be if I didn't need to sleep.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Recent weeks:
-Chilling with friends at a bar or a movie night
-Driving down the highway in some random direction until I'm outside the city, then hiking the nearest hills
-Catching up on old games or TV Shows I missed out on the first time around
-Cruelly forcing people to sing David Bowie songs with me at Karaoke
-On Reddit (unfortunately)
-Dancing, badly
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Best results if you either know how to carry your end of a conversation, or want to meet up for some kind of activity (including/especially something new!).

Also if you've traveled a lot I want to hear all about it.

I got things I like, sure, but match percentage has been proven wrong before... So just break some societal norms and message me if you wanna talk. Cool? Cool. You rebel.
