I am horrible at packing despite the egregious frequency with which I do it. I would call myself nomadic, but restive is probably more accurate. I was born in Japan and grew up in good ol' Nebraska. I go back to the states for varying periods of time about five times a year, 'cause that's the way I like it. When neither here nor there you'll probably find me in London, (jolly good) or Urk, Netherlands (ja). I find flying relaxing and cultural confusion amusing. A British lady asked me what Snapple was, I say "o la la" a lot (and not ironically), and I have no idea where to call home anymore.

I think one of the more interesting things about me is something that isn't controllable. I often have very vivid dreams that I remember just as vividly, and have recently taken to the habit of waking up screaming. Last night because my mother was trying to drown me in laundry detergent. Hm, filicide. And here I wasn't aware we had issues.

Yes, I'm really twenty even though I'm about to graduate from uni.

I'm double majoring in Film Studies and Communications at a university in Paris, France. I'm also working on two screenplays, provisionally titled Guilt, For Instance and Alice in the Netherlands.

Making movies, martinis, and snide remarks. Being punctual, sarcastic, and well-dressed. Doing yoga, laundry, and well in school. Buying...everything. Driving my Jeep, four-wheelers, and parents crazy. Using esoteric vocabulary, computers, and zeugma.

Probably the color of my hair. In the past two years it's gone from dirty blonde (natural), to lighter blonde, to platinum blonde, to dark blonde, to red, which is what it is now. Or, if it's in the winter, it's probably my blue rabbit fur hat (PETA people can leave now).

OR if they happen to hear my disembodied voice, it's probably that I laugh a lot, and am extremely sarcastic.

Books: I read a lot, despite which I have difficulty listing what/who my "favourites" are. In any case Dostoevsky definitely tops the list, and some other authors go something like: Oscar Wilde, Sylvia Plath, Bret Easton Ellis, Joe Ross, Zizek, Plato, etc. Movies: Robert Weine's The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari is my favourite film of all time. German Expressionism is genius. Other goodies include: Nosferatu, The Royal Tenenbaums, Trainspotting, Heathers, 200 Cigarettes, American Psycho, Rules of Attraction, A Bout de Souffle, Blow Up, Breakfast on Pluto, Psycho, Shallow Grave, Zoolander, Fight Club, Funny Face, The Virgin Suicides, Clueless, The Bad and the Beautiful, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (the original, not Burton's bastardization), and anything I've made...because I'm pretentious like that. Music: David Bowie (!), Placebo, Modest Mouse, Rufus Wainwright (especially "Instant Pleasure"), The Smiths, Morrissey, Tom Mcrae, Madeleine Peyroux, Noir Désir, Tori Amos, Regina Spektor, Tom Vek, Bauhaus, Brian Eno, Frank Sinatra, Chet Baker, Joni Mitchell, Morcheeba, Zazie, The Decemberists, The Psychedelic Furs, The Replacements, The Cure, blah blah blah. Foods: They keep putting apples in my martinis. But srsly (don't judge the abbreviation, it's more fun to say it that way) I like Italian, Chinese, Indian, and since I've been in France I've been craving good Mexican and have yet to find it. Strangely enough it's pretty good in Berlin.

Means to travel, my computer, iPod, video camera, friends (includes family members), people smarter than me.
