Random bits of information time!

I love Chinese lanterns and tiny christmas lights. Midnight movies are one of my most favorite things to attend. I love the out-and-out geekiness of it all. I love boys with tattoos. I love tattoos in general, actually. I have two on either wrist and I can't wait to get more. I unintentionally collect cook books, mostly of the baking variety. In that same vein, I bake cakes. I have done everything from a vintage Fender for my friend's boyfriend to the Batman logo. My latest creation is one in which Patrick Starfish is devouring Spongebob Squarepants' brain, zombie style.

What else? I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2005 and I'm using my degree (English and History, btw) to it's utmost potential - that would be sarcasm, by the way. Sitting on the beach with a chai tea and a book is the only thing that will cheer me up 100% of the time no matter the situation. My 1-year old puppy is the love of my life - she is the closest thing to having a child I can think of at this moment.

I love Freepress.org - that would be hella sweet to work for them. Oh, and yes, I guess sometimes I use "hella" in sentences. I worked for a NPO in Berkeley and I picked it up.

Dog parks, rain (lots and lots), the idea of at one point living in the UK (all fingers crossed before I’m 40), photographs of old friends and family in cool frames, and having passion for things – all are choice.

I have an amazing ability to choose more sleep over taking the time to put on make-up in the morning before I go to work.

I wanted to be Angela Chase when I was younger. :)

I REALLY want to go to Comic Con next year and if all goes well, I will be. I was an Ewok for Halloween. I wonder what that says about me?

I love going to shows. If the act is good, the concert experince is amazing. I just got back from seeing MuteMath at the Paladium Ballroom and it was a top 10 concert experince. Actually, more of a top 5 ... If i didn't have a job and/or a dog, I would go to sooo many more. I'm seeing Minus the Bear soon, LMFO, and Teegan and Sara. 2 out of the 3 of those shows are favors for friends.

Right now I'm working as an admin for a specialty grocery store. However, I'm working to get back into the NPO world. I worked for an amazing organization after graduation and I'm looking for something similar.

I just want to be effective.

... watching people play video games. I play sometimes if I know I won't suck too hard, but I can sit and watch someone play for hours.
... knowing when I'm doing something stupid but still doing it. Nothing ever horrible, just things that as an intelligent woman, I should know better that to do.
... choosing to stay home and watch a movie on the couch instead of going to a bar/club/etc.
... knowing words to Top 40 songs.
... giving my heart and soul to someone at a moments notice. For my friends, if they need something that I can provide, I will give it no questions asked.

I'm tall - 5'11" ... I guess that is good to know.

I change my hair color frequently. I love messing around with it - it makes me happy and I have a friend who likes to experiment with hair color. :)

In no particular order:
1. Radley - my dog
2. internet access
3. a hoodie and a pair of converse
4. 3 books able to be read at any time.
5. good friends that totally get that I'm geek and are OK with it.
6. passion for ideas, for issues, for people - This spands from global warming issues to planning out geeky adventures. I have many geeky adventures planned out, just fyi. :)

... how friends I haven't seen in a while are doing.

Every so often I love to go out with friends and have some drinks and hang out at a chill bar or club.

Mostly, though, I love to get some good ingredients and make a nice meal and rent some movies. It is probably one of my most favorite things to do. I'm such a homebody, I love it.

I have very little secrets. I think if you make something that powerful it will rule your life. So ask me anything.
