My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi, I'm Chris. I've got a sarcastic sense of humor that sometimes deals with making fun of myself, and if you can joke along with me about things then sweet deal. I'm sort of an inside person, but I also like going for a walk at night when the town's quiet. I've been exercising more lately, and have been thinking about getting into hiking. Late-night beach trips are cool, too. Born and raised in SoCal, lived in a few places since. Always end up coming back, though.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Spending my free time outside of work and school listening to music, playing video games, reading, and rewatching movies or shows I've probably seen a thousand times or more.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Remembering song lyrics, random trivia about things nobody cares about (tv shows from the 80's or 90's, quotes from movies, etc), but not being able to remember what I was doing two hours ago for the life of me.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I would guess my gray hair or my eyes. It's hard to say since I notice me all the time and I'm sort of used to me. Though these wrinkles are new. And that mole there. And that mark on my nail.

Apologies in advance, this is always a lot to skim over.

I've got a lineup of astronomy/space books to read, just finished Neil DeGrasse Tyson's Death By Black Hole (a bit over my head in parts, but a great read), and now starting Carl Sagan's Cosmos (I love the miniseries and wanted more). Anything by Terry Pratchett, and as the username suggests, Tolkien (except Silmarillion, I tried but it was like reading a history textbook. I'll get to it someday, though!).

Agents of SHIELD, Sleepy Hollow and Almost Human (it's been Firefly'd THANKS OBAMA) are really the only new shows I've been watching. Otherwise I just caught up on Doctor Who, and I tend to rewatch Scrubs and Archer all the time. Whedon shows in general will hook me in, too, Buffy, Angel, Firefly, etc.

Movies are cool. Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Beetlejuice, Lord of the Rings, any comic movie really (Thor, Iron Man and Captain America especially), Addams Family (and Values, let's not talk about the ones that came after), Mel Brooks movies, Monty Python movies (and Flying Circus, of course), Star Wars, Kevin Smith's Jersey Chronicles, Miyazaki's various movies, Pixar in general, Akira, and way too many others. Always up for checking out something new as well.

Music is choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend it. I listen to a lot of things; metal, rock, Celtic/Irish folk, some electronic, etc etc. Incubus, Jimmy Eat World, Amon Amarth, Pierce the Veil, Foo Fighters, Daft Punk, Flogging Molly, Sinatra, Pendulum, Ben Folds/Ben Folds Five, Iron Maiden, The Megas, The Protomen, Dir En Grey, Nekrogoblikon, The Chieftans, The Dubliners, Great Big Sea, random movie soundtracks, and a whole crapload more. As far as genres go I'm super into metal, though honestly I'll give anything a listen.

Vidya: Lots of SNES games I replay every year. Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, older Final Fantasy games (replaying VII and IX at the moment, maybe VI for the umpteenth time), etc. World of Warcraft, FFXIV, Fire Emblem: Awakening, various games I pick up on Steam, and way too many others.

Food: Japanese, Mexican and Italian would be the top 3 I suppose, but I love trying new stuff in addition to the usual staples.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Earth, fire, wind, water, heart. BY YOUR POWERS COMBINED...

Just kidding, everyone knows Heart was useless.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Everything from important life stuff to whether the dogs are going to jump in my bed and wake me up at 2am again. Why is it every time I play Civilization IV or V the historically peaceful leaders end up warmongering zealots? Ghandi likes to drop nukes.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I don't know. Playing games, watching a movie, something that involves relaxing. Updating this profile, too, let's be honest here.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
And there I am in Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, at three o' clock in the morning, looking for one thousand brown M&M's to fill a brandy glass, or Ozzy wouldn't go on stage that night. So, Jeff Beck pops his head 'round the door and mentions there's a little sweetshop on the edge of town. So, we go, and - it's closed. So there's me, and Keith Moon, and David Crosby breaking into this little sweetshop right? Well, instead of a guard dog, they've got this bloody great big Bengal tiger. Well I managed to take out the tiger with a can of mace, but the shopowner and his son, that's a different story altogether. I had to beat them to death with their own shoes. Nasty business really. But sure enough, I got the M&M's and Ozzy went on stage and did a GREAT show.

...if what? The suspense is killing me.

I should also point out that I don't have OKC's pay-thing, so if you "like" me, I won't know outside of a teasing HEY PAY US notice.
