My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
An honest girl looking for fun and laughter and passion. I'm a hairstylist with an English degree and a film minor. I love art and music and theater and dancing and drinking and singing and fashion and cooking and examining popular culture and watching crime shows and animals and learning and literature.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a Chiropractic Assistant. I'm in love with a British man who is (for now) an ocean away from me. Soon he'll be here and we'll play board games and eat Pho and snuggle. I cook and bake and keep house and gallivant about the city listening to music, pretending my life has a soundtrack. I also sing. And wear polka dots.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Hairstyling. Writing. Reading. Putting an outfit together. Cooking a meal for other people. Singing. Smiling. Wearing pearls. Getting children to sit still for haircuts.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My smile. Then my eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: let's make this authors instead...
Atwood, Gowdy, Vonnegut, Orwell, Winterson, Hemingway, Twain, Kafka, Faulkner, Nabokov, Woolf, Kerouac, Miller, Plath, Bukowski, etc etc etc I could continue for days.

Movies: When Harry Met Sally, The Straight Story, Cosmopolis, Blue Velvet, Evil Dead, The 'Burbs, Indiana Jones (but NO crystal skull please), Drive etc etc.... As for genres, I love horror and action, see art films about once a week, and spend a lot of time watching Disney movies at work.

TV: Twin Peaks, Criminal Minds, Law and Order, Hell's Kitchen/Masterchef/Kitchen Nightmares, the Food Network, true crime shows, Dexter, the X-files, Six Feet Under, etc etc. (I don't have tv....but I do stream)

Music: Anything and everything. I'm currently on a major Florence and the Machine kick, and also really dig old soul and r&b, good hip hop/rap, jazz, blues, rock, indie, electronic, sampled music (think "The Books"), classical, folk, Canadian rock etc etc etc.

Food: I love to cook. But....I'm terribly allergic to the protein in dairy. It stores in my respiratory system and I pass out. SO....I have become quite adept at altering recipes to make my old favourites newly dairy free. I try to eat local, I eat a dairy free diet and love vegetarian cuisine. I'm not opposed to meat, but I do make sure it is local and traditionally raised if i'm going to pay for it.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Honesty
2. Books
3. Vegan Cheese
4. Love
5. Friendship
6. Pearls
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why people are so afraid of being themselves....and why we all lie to each other and ourselves so often?? What are we so afraid of?

why are we so afraid of kindness?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Heading out to dinner, catching a film, baking, or drinking. Or doing all of those things. Or none of them. I don't like the word "typical".
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That there's nothing private about me.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You are honest, fun, and passionate about ANYTHING (but willing to show me!)

You respect that I'm just looking for friendship.

You're a positive person who doesn't believe in shaming others (for ANY reason).
