My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am an ever evolving creature. I am passionate about everything I do (ok..almost everything. I suppose it's hard to be passionate about sifting the cat box or cleaning the bathroom). I am in constant awe. I try to find the best in everyone & everything..emphasis on "try". Creative and contagiously happy, I have boundless energy and an appetite for learning about new things and meeting new people. I am always ready for the latest and the greatest in friends, relationships, experiences, and ocean jumping....or so says the Meyers-Briggs Personality trait indicator.
I have been through hell & back but somehow emerged with a smile on my face & lots of love in my heart. I am friends with all of my ex's (best friends with one of them)..so I guess that is a little peek into how I view the value of people. I am constantly trying to improve myself (for myself). I consider myself to be a writer, photographer, part time voluptuous pin-up girl, Advice- columnist, environmentalist, farmer & world class chef but I make a living working in an office moving piles of paper around my desk. I love being outdoors. The ocean & sunsets are my happy place. I suppose I will add more later, but for now, there are puddles to jump in....
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working all the time. Loving every moment, good or bad. Reveling in possibilities of the universe. Wasting time, losing track of time, trying to make time my bitch (not working). Trying to be the best me I can be. Chasing my dog. Smelling the roses, shaking the dirt out my shoes, cleaning cobwebs out of my mind, & leaving all my excess baggage on the curb out front.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being incredibly malleable, I don't tend to get upset over sudden changes. Life changes on a dime..better just to roll with it. I have been told I have infectious spontaneity (I think it may be contagious). I am exceedingly enthusiastic, which is weird given the amount of times life has knocked my knees out from under me. Listening, and giving out really fantastic unsolicited advice & opinions ;). Gardening (though if you saw my yard at the moment you would really think differently). Hiking, finding my way down a mountainside in the dark with no flashlight & not getting poison oak! I can set up a tent, talk for hours about politics, or hold my own in a mosh pit with equal ease.

Now for honesty's sake...here are my less redeeming qualities:
I have been told I have no respect for time..(but I figure time has no respect for me..so we are even). I am easily distracted, I forget all kinds of things (keys, wallet, where I parked my car). I am a bit of a scatterbrain. I crush hard & very easily. I trust too much & too often (I don't think that is necessarily bad). I drive way too fast and it has been said I am entirely too vocal about my opinions...I over-use ellipses & my car is always messy.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I suppose it depends on who is doing the noticing....my eyes? no, my breasts? (I'm just saying...) my sparkly personality? prob the fact I swear like a sailor?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Hmmmm.. love to read & been reading a lot of Christopher Moore lately. Love Doug Adams, Dr. Seuss (no, really), Shakespeare, Tolkien, Hunter Thompson, Mark Twain, Christopher Hitchens, Vonnegut, Ken Kesey, Jack Keroauc. My music tastes spam the gamut..I love old school punk rock (Dead Kennedys, Minor Threat, Black Flag sans Rollins) , funk (Parliament), Gospel (Mavis Staples), good old Rock & Roll (Grateful Dead, Hot Tuna), new Alternative , old alternative, techno, Soul, Blues, R&B, Oldies, Screamo, Emo.. old school heavy Metal & old School country. I travel far & wide for a good show or festival... Love the Flaming Lips, the Decemberists, Old Crow Medicine Show, Vampire Weekend, LCD Soundsystem, My Morning Jacket, Rancid, Operation Ivy, Arcade Fire, Franz Ferdinand, Regina Spector, OK GO!, The Avett Bothers, Billy Bragg, Hot Chip & Gogol Bordello. I don't care for "new" country- seems like is a platform for bud-light swillin', NASCAR watching conservative Republicans..not my cup of tea. Oh yeah.. light Jazz IE Kenny G...eww really horrible stuff, not even fit to be in elevators if you ask me.
I have a deep affection for live theater & opera. If your idea of a perfect night out is at the Met in NYC, we have a lot to chat about.
I also listen to an ungodly amount of NPR (love Prairie Home Companion!).
I don't watch much TV (who has the time?), but sometimes I get to watch Walking Dead. I like old TV shows I can watch on Netflix..Dr. Who, Wonderfalls, Pushing Daises.
Movies? Classics like Casablanca, the original Willy Wonka. Love Tarantino, Terry Gilliam & Michelle Gondry movies, so basically anything a little off-kilter, dark comedy or mind bending. Harold & Maude is my all time favorite.
I love all types of food. I cook quite a bit & am always trying my hand at something new. Love Thai, Indian, Ethiopian, Afghan, Italian..& I am a freaking grill master. I have been vegetarian & vegan before so if meat isn't your thing..that is fine by me.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The answers to this question are constantly changing, but I suppose I should say my children, my fabulous dog, live music, my best friend Christopher, intelligent conversation and good bourbon ..neat.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What I want to be when I grow up. How to frankenstine white truffles (my best friend & I disagree- I don't see how this is possible); how to build a better mousetrap. How to incorporate permaculture into everyday living to benefit small third world cultures/villages. Why does OKC show me as less pure? What the hell does that mean? I am 100% pure...pure awesome. Is Publishers Clearinghouse rigged? I mean really, I have yet to win..
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out with friends at Karaoke (usually singing a poor rendition of an old Nancy Sinatra hit), stargazing..or cuddled up with my dog & a good book.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I can pick locks...

....You are fun, easy going, spontaneous, kind, and can take a fair amount of sarcasm. If you love music, dogs (and don't mind big sloppy dog kisses) and can handle casual swearing. Oh yeah, first and foremost- if you are not a homophobe or a bigoted right wing Christian fundamentalist...or think you can persuade me to join your freaky religion, trust me...this is never going to happen. Also, if you think Ayn Rand is any type of decent human..you probably should never-ever, ever contact me..we are obviously worlds apart.
