I am a dreamer, a maker, and an explorer.
My Self-Summary
I love new ideas. When in a conversation, I'm happy when its a
discussion, which is somewhere between a one sided lecture and an
argument. I also think I'm ruined for life with working a office
job. I've had a taste for
quirky adventure and I like it. I also have a
thing for robots, by a think I mean I like to build them.
What I’m doing with my life
Graduated with a
Computer Science degree from OU. I am currently
developing open source hardware and working out how to make a
living doing that, looking for paying work in the mean time and
keeping busy. Along the way I've met some amazing people, and I
can't wait what comes next!
Someday I'll be a
Chaos Engineer.
I’m really good at
Fixing things, taking things apart, cooking! mmm making fudge. I'm
an accomplished... err... pack rat, bibliophile, and bad
speller.
I'm also good at finding things for other people, but can never
find what I am looking for. I need to turn this talent around and
get someone else to ask me how to fix my problems so I can tell
them and in the same stroke solve my problem. Its convoluted but it
beats the alternative.
The first things people usually notice about me
The chaos I leave in my wake, propensity for spontaneity, humor,
gorgeous hair, and occasionally me.
Something I've noticed, I seem to remind people of someone they
know or they remember me but I don't remember them. I think for
some reason I'm 'memorable", although I don't get it.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
A) Most
books
sci-fi/fantasy
related, seriously if you've read a significant amount there is a
good chance there is some overlap.
Gene Wolfe rocks my world. I also
have a tendency to read research papers for fun. I chalk it up to
an undying thirst for knowledge, mmm tasty.
B) I've seen too many good ones to pick, but if I were to pick, I
love good science fiction with actual science. Its too easy to make
bad sci-fi.
C) I'll eat anything. My favorite foods usually aren't too spicy or
too sweet. I also love to
cook, and someday I'll have an amazing oven
and an inductive heating stove top for all my cast iron pans!
The six things I could never do without
I'm an independent person! who could live without anything...
except maybe my computer, books, my two front teeth, self
fulfilling activities, friendly comfort, and worldly things I get
attached to occasionally.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I daydream about analog computing, the nature of computation,
building self replicating robots out of silly things, building meta
tools, building things in general, reading books, things I wish I
had said, friends, love, life, and everything in it.
On a typical Friday night I am
hanging out with friends, having deep philosophical conversations
where I feel like I know what I'm talking about, and spending time
watching Battlestar Galactica because the series just now started
picking up again.
Running around with friends, working on projects, or reading a
book.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
Hum, juicy private details. Something to titillate, yet not
blatantly display that degraded human position we often find
ourselves in. I've found that at times I'm too open with what most
people would consider private details. So lets just say I have some
juice tidbits that would make for interesting story swapping
sometime.

If your a big fan of whim decisions, like discussing how to build
the perfect library, love sex and relationships in equal
proportions, think recipes are a handy starting point but not a
road map, have a deep love for
reading, like exploring and looking at
nifty things, can laugh at yourself,
dance like the devil in the moonlit night,
and find that the best things in life were the hardest decisions to
make.
