I am funny, opinionated, and contrarian.

My Self-Summary

Having been raised by television, I'm basically a combination of several characters from Sesame Street:

Like the Count, I can sometimes be monomaniacal about things, whether or not it's appropriate. Like Ernie I am constantly cracking wise, never willing to take things 100% seriously. Like Cookie monster, I love good food, but often in my haste end up spilling it all over myself. Like Bert I can often seem flustered and frustrated by those around me.

Unlike Bert, I have two separate, non-overlapping eyebrows. I cannot stress this enough.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm currently working as a freelance web developer. I'm also finishing up a degree, majoring in History and International Development.

I’m really good at

I'm eerily good at trivia.

Also, I can recite most Star Trek movies verbatim, and can usually identify an episode after seeing the first 30 seconds.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Movies: The Godfather Part II, Iron Man, 40 Year Old Virgin, Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan

TV: The Office, Daily Show, Buffy, Law & Order, The West Wing, (most) Star Trek

Books: Webster's Dictionary, 1984, Heart of Darkness, Guns Germs & Steel.

Music: Fairly eclectic, everything from hip-hop to classic rock to 80s easy listening. Currently on my iPod: Wu-tang, Girl Talk, Starship. Plus a lot of stuff that I'm not willing to admit.

Food: Mexican, Italian, Thai - basically anything with cilantro or basil

The six things I could never do without

- Black coffee
- Laptop
- WiFi
- Hot Sauce
- My carefully cultivated sense of self-righteous indignation.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Anything and everything, ad nauseum, until my brain hurts.

On a typical Friday night I am

At Vol de Nuit (a local bar) sipping a Jack and Coke.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I secretly love show tunes and know all the words to several musicals.

You should message me if

You want to shout with me, not at me.
