My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm looking for a wickedly funny, kind man who wants to make me laugh.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I run a bespoke sustainable food and wine company which means my life is full of all the good stuff. I also run a cooking school and teach when I can.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making feasts for friends, laughing, finding the lighter side of life.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books - This is so hard. Ok, so in the past few months I've read Flann O'Brien, Patrick White, Austen, Carver, Cheever, Lawrence Durrell, Fitzgerald, MFK Fischer. Currently reading the Dorothy Parker compendium and Confederacy of Dunces for the second time. Tender is the Night is probably my favorite book of all time.

Film etc - the original Ocean's 11 or basically anything in technicolor especially Elvis movies set in Hawaii, most Woody Allen, Wes Anderson, To Kill a Mockingbird, Hitchcock, good 70's Australian like Wake in Fright. I love every Bill Murray movie ever made and have probably watched every David Attenborough documentary.

When it comes to music I get into mostly indie stuff from all eras and try to keep up with new bands as much as I can. The past week has been Afro funk from the 70s which is amazing (check out African Scream Contest) and my new Sergio Mendes record. Other than that Great Lake Swimmers, Blond Redhead, scruffy 70's Australian punk, Neil Young (but only Harvest), The Go-Betweens, Nick Cave, Colleen, Television, American Analog Set, The Clientele, Au Revior Simone, The Walkmen, Of Montreal and sometimes a bit of Yaz. I especially like hearing local bands I have never heard of before.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What I'm about to cook and who I'm cooking it for.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Eating with friends, seeing a band, or drinking in a local bar, heading out of town. No two Fridays are ever the same.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Mixed tapes still make my heart flutter.

...you are the kind of person that likes to be challenged, is smart, relaxed and can hold both a good conversation and their liquor. You take pride in treating people well. You take notice of what is happening in the world and give a shit. You don't mind dancing all night and then falling into bed. Swimming in the dark sounds like fun to you. I look forward to meeting you!
