My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Professional science geek turned patent attorney, passionate kitesurfer, yogi, international traveler and polyglot seeking soulmate to share life and adventure with.

I've been working for the NIH for the past 10 years in their Technology Transfer Office and love interfacing with some of the cutting edge minds in biotech and health science. I really feel quite lucky having grown up in the area and having the NIH in my backyard. What an amazing place full of amazing people.

To decompress, if there's no wind to kitesurf, I'll either go for a run or do some other water sport (surf, SUP, kayak). Truth be told, I am happiest when in and around the ocean.

I'm a good cook. Despite the amazing restaurant choices we get spoiled with near Logan Circle and on 14th street I'll stay in some nights. Grilling is a particular specialty; surely there's no holier triumvirate than man, fire and meat. I also like to cook anything spicy especially if mediterranean.

I come from a close Jewish family of Eastern European and Sephardi decent. My parents are close to me and live not too far away. We consider ourselves intellectually and culturally Jewish rather than religious (if you're basing your dating/marital decisions on religion, I may not be the best fit for you).

Downtime means curled up with either a comic book (don't judge :-)), some popular science non-fiction especially on quantum mechanics, chaos theory, architecture or sci-fi fantasy book. Malcolm Gladwell and David McKraney have been on my reading list sixth months ago now on to Leonard Susskind on black holes. Fell in love with the futurist pontifications of Buckminster Fuller and Arthur C Clark. Also like watching shows on ancient and medieval history or all the period pieces you find these days on StarZ and HBO.

I'm a JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis fan. Its accurate to say that Tolkien was responsible for the formative years of my literary life.

I like theater and usually lean toward the classics (Shakespeare, Marlow, Moliere, etc…)

Music: thievery corporation, led zeppelin, the Police, The Doors, Bob Dylan, Aerosmith, Tom Petty, basically a lot of classic rock, Mozart, Handel, Sarah Jarosz, Haydn, Iron Maiden, Federico Aubele, Coldplay.
The six things I could never do without
