I've been working for the NIH for the past 10 years in their Technology Transfer Office and love interfacing with some of the cutting edge minds in biotech and health science. I really feel quite lucky having grown up in the area and having the NIH in my backyard. What an amazing place full of amazing people.
To decompress, if there's no wind to kitesurf, I'll either go for a run or do some other water sport (surf, SUP, kayak). Truth be told, I am happiest when in and around the ocean.
I'm a good cook. Despite the amazing restaurant choices we get spoiled with near Logan Circle and on 14th street I'll stay in some nights. Grilling is a particular specialty; surely there's no holier triumvirate than man, fire and meat. I also like to cook anything spicy especially if mediterranean.
I come from a close Jewish family of Eastern European and Sephardi decent. My parents are close to me and live not too far away. We consider ourselves intellectually and culturally Jewish rather than religious. That said I consider myself a very pro-Israel Jewish atheist.
