My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am extremely young at heart, easygoing, genuine, loyal, devoted to family, and good with power tools. I'm totally bad-ass. And humble ;)

I love art. I was an art major in college, and like going to art exhibits (from photography to King Tut). I love design (from anything mid-century modern to many types of architecture). I have a design degree, too. I love film (from indies to Ted), theatre, and fiction (particularly short fiction).

I was born in New Orleans (where we really know how to eat), so it follows that I enjoy dining out--whether it’s a four-star here in the city, or a dive in Tucumcari, New Mexico. If you could introduce me to any awesome food trucks, that would be very cool.

I LOVE to travel. Traveling is very important. I have burning desires to see many, many places (Japan, Belize, and Cuba top the list). I have a TSA Pre-check Known Traveler Number...

I’ve learned that being independent doesn’t mean that one must be alone.

I appreciate simple, thoughtful gestures more than a box of chocolates (but I do love flowers--particularly French tulips).

I've leaped before looking more than once in my life, but I also know when to be pragmatic.

I would rather watch a rerun of the Rockford Files than any show with Housewives in the title.

I'm looking for someone:
who is genuine, has a strong work ethic, and values loyalty above all else.

who appreciates creativity, is open, and is fair.

with strong values, an easygoing style, and a little old-fashioned charm.

who is kindhearted, lighthearted, and has a strong sense of family.

agrees that sharing goals and a sense of values wins out over "compatible” cd collections.

who might be willing to play Scrabble with me on occasion :)

To that end, I'm just interested in meeting someone I can adore...and more ;)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm taking a hobby, and working on turning it into my vocation. I volunteer once a week, and I'm trying to burn up some frequent flyer miles and fit as many trips here and there as possible. This month: New Orleans and Los Angeles
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Packing a carry-on....I travel light.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I look a lot younger than my age (maybe because I feel a lot younger than I am)....
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: Any one in the Best American Short Stories series. A Man in Full by Tom Wolfe. Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. As a child, I read any and every waiting room magazine, and the dictionary for fun. For movies: An Andalusian Dog, Betty Blue, To Sir, With Love, Rear Window, Glengarry Glen Ross, Amadeus, Wings of Desire, Training Day, Rushmore, Beasts of the Southern Wild, and Ted (to balance out any possible allegations of being too esoteric). Music: my musical tastes are all over the map-- it's easier to say I don't like rap, reggae, or modern country. I Shazam a lot, so I have a lot of random music--from car commercials, to the opening song to Portlandia and the like...Food: I'm not so big on German or Jamaican food, but anything else I pretty much like. I was born in New Orleans, and New Orleanians love to eat.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

(I like the number seven better than six....)

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
where to travel next....
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Eating sushi.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I love old cop and detective shows...but you may have picked up on that...
