Hi, my name is Mary! I love music. It's pretty much my life, since I have a degree in music, and I teach music. I'm a little crazy, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I spend a lot of time reading. It's just fun to me. I like to go out with friends, but I'm totally okay with sitting at home by myself. I'm very flexible like that. I'm also a MySpace addict, which is pretty sad.

If you really want to get me talking, ask me about my students. I could talk all day long about teaching and the crazy things my kids do. I love my job so much!

In addition to being a certified music teacher, I'm a classically trained soprano. I don't sing as often as I'd like to, but that's one of the sacrifices I've had to make in becoming a teacher.

I must not have a life, all I talk about is teaching. Sorry.

I'm pretty laid back and all, I just like to enjoy life.

I'm changing the world, one child at a time. I teach, and in case you haven't figured it out already, I love it. I'm hoping to start on my masters degree in the next couple years.

Favorite books: Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal Rising, Red Dragon, Hannibal, Harry Potter, Gone with the Wind, Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, The Lovely Bones, Dante's Inferno, Star Wars: The Thrawn Trilogy. That's among many others. Those are just the ones I tend to re-read a lot.

Favorite movies: The Original Star Wars Trilogy. Not that new trilogy, not the special edition crap, but the original releases. Gone with the Wind, Silence of the Lambs, Shrek, Ever After, The Taming of the Shrew, Much Ado About Nothing, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Juno, School of Rock. Just to name a few.

Favorite music: Okay, I'm a musician. If it's music, it's fair game.

Favorite food: Sushi, Mexican, Italian. Fried chicken, green beans, turkey and dressing, fried shrimp, steak (medium rare, please), fried rice, steamed broccoli, and homemade vegetable beef soup.

I'm usually trying to catch up on my sleep on Friday nights. But that's just because there's not a whole hell of a lot to do around here. Give me something to do, and I'm ready to go!
