I am supercalifragalistic, spontaneous, and adventurous.
My Self-Summary
I'm a person who spends a disproportionate amount of time pondering
the meaning of life - I want answers and if I don't get some soon I
intend to make them up.
What I’m doing with my life
Working for a county council. It seems to involve a lot of staring
at a computer and doing the exact same thing for 8 and a half hours
a day. On the plus side there is a good supply of chocolates and
biscuits in the office. It's a means to an end as I am studying
with the Open Uni so hopefully I can finish my degree and move on
up...
I spent 3 months in Mexico in 2007 doing voluntary work for a local
ecological organisation. I was scuba diving and doing coral reef
surveys - not exactly hard graft. I met some amazing people and
learnt so much - once in a lifetime stuff.
I’m really good at
Eating chinese food, watching episodes of the Simpsons back to back
for days and riding my giraffe around the house. I've been told I'm
also good at making jewellery but I'm terrible at taking
compliments so we'll see how many people buy my stuff first!
My poi-poi is slowly improving and I'm now a PADI Rescue Diver -
that doesn't mean I'll definitely rescue you, depends what mood I'm
in ;-)
The first things people usually notice about me
My height, I'm 5'11. Or my bountiful chest...
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I read a ton of books in Mexico, loads by James Patterson (the
novels about Alex Cross). Also really liking Kathy Reichs who
writes crime books with a great female lead. Fave movies include
Hannibal - the book is better though, Simpsons Movie - "spider pig
spider pig, does whatever a spider pig does..."one day it will be a
classic. The movie Sharkwater is also brilliant. It is a docu-film
about the massive shark finning industry. 100 million sharks are
killed a year for their fins. When you think there are 60 million
people in the UK it makes you realise just how many that is. It's
barbaric and makes me mad.
Musically speaking I prefer bands like the Foo Fighters and 3
Colours Red, I guess it's a bit punk-rock. But I also love stuff by
Morcheba, Nickleback and I admit it, Pink. I will give anything a
chance and I don't care who it's by, if I like it I like it.
Food wise, CHINESE!!!! But also Thai and Japanese (I'd use
chopsticks for my Alpen if i could).
The six things I could never do without
My giraffe, my brain, air, a world to discover, people to discover
the world with and my bed. God I love my bed. *UPDATE* I no longer
love my bed as I'm kipping in my dads spare room and the bed is
lumpy, Very bad bed karma. I hereby replace 'bed' with 'SCUBA
diving'. *UPDATE AGAIN* I have my own house again and I'm free to
spend as much time as I want in my bed (when not at work that is).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why, when, how, where, and again why. Currently thinking a lot
about sharks and how amazing they are. No they are not man eaters!
Now hippos...they WILL eat you!
On a typical Friday night I am
Not much of a pub/club person. A takeaway with friends and a decent
film is good enough for me.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I love my giraffe and he loves me.
You should message me if
You love life and have no regrets.
