I am smart, talented, and funny funny.

My Self-Summary

Aspiring mathematician, Purdue student, lefthanded, INFP. Social liberal, fiscal moderate. I like drumming, differential forms, absurdism, maj7 chords, and the work of early Kandinsky. Seeing a very special lady.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm going to Purdue, pursuing a BS in math, and drumming on the side. Hopefully I'll be able to enter a phD program in math and someday teach at a small college.

I’m really good at

Drumming, laughing, mathematics, smiling, teaching.

The first things people usually notice about me

My cheerful nature? I dunno, ask them.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I like reading, but I don't much outside of school, I really like The Stranger by Albert Camus. In high school I was a big fan of The Great Gatsby and lord of the flies and catcher in the rye and all that stuff, but I don't spend nearly enough time on literature.

As for movies, there's star wars, jurassic park, lost in translation, the emperor's new groove, mean girls, eternal sunshine, man bites dog, and plenty of others. The land before time was my favorite as a kid, though.

Music: wilco, the sea and cake, squarepusher, coldplay, sufjan stevens, botch, earth wind & fire, feist, tortoise, stevie wonder, mastodon, mission of burma, led zeppelin, the kings of convenience, grizzly bear, and on and on.

As for food? I eat rice often because it's so inexpensive... I like red meat (esp with a beer or red wine), I like tomatoes, bread, chocolate milk, pasta. Sometimes I like chef boyardee, for nostalgia's sake. Most beer tastes good to me. I'm missing some things here but that's alright.

The six things I could never do without

Family, friends, my drums, warm clothes, music, and the internet kinda

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Different ways to make things more intuitive or convenient.
Actually, often I'm thinking about random things. My mind wanders.

On a typical Friday night I am

Out! Life's too short not to be! Sometimes I'm at a party, sometimes I'm playing with my band, and sometimes I'm watching movies with friends. Campus bars are fun but Lafayette ones are better. In fact, Lafayette's much more fun than West Lafayette.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

1) I can quote Mean Girls like you wouldn't believe. It came from my gay roommate whose favorite movie is, well guess. He started quoting it all the time, we watched it once, I laughed my ass off, started quoting stuff back to him, we watched it every so often, after a while I knew the movie as well as he did.

2) Sometimes I browse /b/

You should message me if

if you've taken the time to read my whole page. That's adorable.
