My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hmmm... boxing myself in a summary doesn't feel quite right... couldn't possibly fit my vast assortment of accomplishments and would hate to bore you in the attempt. Actually that wouldn't be who I am really, only what I've done-easy to confuse the two.

I will say this, I'm not looking for someone to make me happy-I am that already. It would be great though to share/enhance the journey or some part thereof with someone of a similar mindset.

So maybe this self-summary is best left to a time of dialogue instead of just monologue, which, depending on how you've summarized me and I you, before tapping to the next profile, is the whole point of this virtual experience anyway!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm living and embracing who I am-this is a new chapter in my life.

Exercise is a given, running and cycling are favorites-but enjoy a variety.

I love travel, new experiences, expanding my mind. I'm passionate about what I do with work, the people, the purpose and the satisfaction of blazing a new trail and making a difference.

Am also raising my 3 (2 at home) teenagers who are amazing and lovable, and at times perplexing-sometimes all 3 at the SAME time!

If you are a father you will understand this, if not, you will probably not understand a big part of me.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
hugging my teenagers, bringing out the best in people/situations, escorting spiders out of the house...
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
maybe that I enjoy life and am easy to talk to, aside from my radiant energy of course...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I love live performances, the symphony at Davies, something thought provoking at the Marsh, musicals/opera anywhere in the world. Indie movies are good.

I don't watch much TV, well actually I do watch stuff with my kids... old West Wing and Bones episodes, movies too-most recently; Shawshank Redemption, the Sting, Ghostbusters- all great/fun stuff-
The connection time is the priority, venue is secondary.

I listen to lots of different music, not rap or country. I have a variety of playlists; running, yoga, classical, current...

Books, always a rotating stack on my nightstand

I also read on my iPad, love the word definition feature, but miss the tangible-ness of the whole experience.

I Love TEDtalks and NPR.

Foodwise, the at-home default is pretty healthy and simply prepared while sipping a glass of wine. Going out, I really appreciate the diversity.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
ideas (the most resilient parasites according to "Inception", I prefer to think in terms of their ability to transform the world!)
iphone
dark chocolate
running/bike shoes
lazy mornings-very decadent- since most are not...
reading glasses...ridiculous but true!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
thoughts...and how they create our reality. Hold on to some if they inspire and motivate, others can be allowed to drift in and out like quotes on a stock ticker, we get to decide, our choices create patterns, character, our life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
nothing is typical...life is full of atypical-ness
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
you are in a good place, at ease, so can go beyond yourself to embrace life, not content just to exist

you have a sense of humor and don't take yourself too seriously-even if you're doing serious stuff

you take time to admire the stars, because sometimes I forget...
