why hello stranger...

i'm looking to meet some new people. i like new people. new people who are fun and intelligent and compassionate and exciting and smell good anyways. i'm an awesome queer academic activista who recently relocated to edmonton for grad school and who is still trying to figure out what the life of an awesome queer academic activista and trying to find my new niche in this dry chilly festival city.

i enjoy reading bitch magazine, going for rolo mcflurries in the middle of the night and instigating impromptu dance parties. i'm not sure if i want to marry nigella lawson or be her. i want to start club called the crafty beavers that meets once a week to get intoxicated and make crafts (preferably out of felt and construction paper). my patron saint is amy sedaris. i have more foreign policy experience than sarah palin. i read cookbooks in bed. i knit, i sew and i philosophize.
