I am an absolute freak for music of all genres. I have 17 tattoos all music related, and 6 ear piercings (all gauged) the last great movie I saw was Black Mass, and I am currently reading 3 books. My favorite authors include Aldous Huxley, Hermann Hesse, Jim Thompson, and Elmore Leonard.
I tend to gravitate to the classics when it come to movies, but will watch and enjoy an action movie occasionally. if we meet and or strike up a conversation you will get a better understanding to who Chuck really is.
""Friendship is born at the moment when one person says to another: What? You too? I thought I was the only one!" C.S. Lewis".
Books- I am going to name a few authors I enjoy reading. Huxley,Hesse, Douglas Adams,Dante,Voltaire,Nick Hornby, Mark Twain, Ashley Khan, Camus, Anthony Burgess, Ben Elton, Douglas Coupland, Bukowski, Greil Marcus, John Shirley, Philip Palmer and Lester Bangs.
Movies- My all time favorite movies are Yellowbeard, Silence of the Lambs, Clockwork Orange, True Romance, Ran, Dreams(both by Kurosawa) The Cook, The Thief, His Wife And Her Lover., Blade Runner, Brazil, and Blood simple.
Music- I really hate it when I see a woman saying" I like every type of music BUT (add genre here)" I feel like if you can not find an artist in a certain genre then you are not looking deep enough. I need a deep thinker especially when it comes to music.
This is going to take some time so I will give you 3 artists in 4 genres . All time Favorite Band hands down is Killing Joke.
My taste is music tends to be very cerebral, if you have a difficult time describing it, I will probably like it.
Classical- Stravinsky,Samuel Barber,Edgard Varese.
Country- Hank Williams (all 3) Hank Thompson,Patsy Cline
Dance- all encompassing Techno, Trance and Acid
Orb,Atari Teenage Riot,808 State
Jazz -How much time have you got? Top 3- John Coltrane, Dizzy Gillespie, Charles Mingus. I could talk about jazz all day and into the evening, so if you want to have a conversation about it drop me a line. I amassed this knowledge to help guide people to new music that is older than they are.
Well you get the idea, I don't want to bombard you with a ton of names that wont really tell you anything about who I am.
My best friend Don put it best when we were at his family dinner one night. Don said I was the only person he knew who could carry on a music conversation with 4 generations of family and never miss a beat with any of them. Chances are I have heard, seen or possibly know your favorite band
