What I’m doing with my life
I'm on an independent long form improv comedy team. Lately I've
been getting into sketch comedy video-making. Comedy making,
classes, and rehearsals keep me pretty busy. [ironically, this is
the driest paragraph of my profile]
I'm a software product developer by day. It's cool as far as grown-up careers go. It's a lot of logic and problem solving, which I enjoy. Actually, the short commute and never working over-time are the parts I enjoy.
I just got my own apartment - well, in July anyway, but it still feels new to me. It's my first time having my own place. I need lots of furniture, paint, blinds, dishes, kitchen islands, shelves, pictures... wanna help me design it and go shopping? [not mandatory]
I'm going to buy an iMac this week. Very excited.
I'm slowly rebuilding my music collection. I spent 6 or 7 years telling everyone about the joys of music subscriptions e.g. Napster and Yahoo music. I have come to agree that those services suck. I ditched them and it has left a huge hole in my music catalogue. Latest downloads: Bowerbirds, Ben Folds, Mew, Belle and Sebastian, Arcade Fire.
On my daily subway commute I'm usually staring into my phone playing chess or reading the NYT. I'm also one of those assholes who walks down the sidewalk texting. Sorry!
