My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
A few random, yet accurate sentences about myself...

Jersey girl, born and raised (North Jersey, the better Jersey, and none of that "fist pump, Jersey Shore" nonsense). I'm always looking for an adventure or something unconventional to do. I LOVE to sing and I'm told I'm pretty good at it, but I'm very shy. You'll know I'm comfortable with you when I haphazardly sing in front of you. I'm a hopeless romantic; the little things make me giddy. I like reading...a lot. I'm (not) sorry if I ignore you in favor of a book. I'm sometimes overly sarcastic. You probably shouldn't talk to me if you get offended easily. I'm a writer. I have several (unfinished) short stories and (mostly finished) poems in my back pocket. I journal regularly. I love being outside whether it's hiking through the woods, camping, or sitting in the grass with a book or my guitar. I'm a musician. Music is my life and my soul; I wouldn't be here without it. I like to be touched. And I mean that in a (sort of) innocent way; an arm around me, knees touching, holding hands. A little physical contact goes a long way. I'm fairly spiritual and have some hippie-like tendencies. I try to do things as naturally as possible and I'm fairly environment conscious. I believe in love conquering all and that people are genuinely good at heart. I'm told this is naive and unrealistic. I prefer to be an optimist despite less than ideal circumstances. I am unapologetically myself.

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I currently manage a music store, which I absolutely love. I basically get to hang out with musicians and talk about music all day. There's a bit more to it than that, but for right now, I enjoy what I do. I don't think I'll be happy in the corporate world forever and would love to find something that would allow for more travel, more adventure, and less day-to-day scheduled same-ness.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening. Being a dork. Tripping over air. Cooking/baking. Remembering the things everyone else forgets. Pretending to play guitar. Giving advice. Saying what everyone is thinking and doesn't have the balls to say. Being awkward. Offering a sarcastic/snarky comment. Laughing. Finding the bright side.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've been told I have a really nice smile, so I guess that's something. My oh-so witty and charming personality.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Be prepared for a long list of stuff. May the odds be ever in your favor.

Books: Anything by Agatha Christie. Tuesdays with Morrie. The Hobbit/LOTR trilogy. Odd Thomas (or anything by Dean Koontz, really). Good Omens, American Gods, (Neil Gaiman/Terry Pratchett anyone?). Pride & Prejudice. Comic books. Anything by Stephen King. I once read the unabridged version of Les Miserables and to be honest, 40 pages of Fantine bitching about her life was not worth it. I'll always have a soft spot for Harry Potter and I have a guilty pleasure for young adult books too. (See: John Green, Sarah Dessen, Suzanne Collins, Rick Riordan). If you suggest it, I will read it!

Movies: I love the classics (Casablanca, anything with Judy Garland or Fred Astaire, etc) and Disney was the main attraction during my childhood. Moulin Rouge is by far my favorite movie in the entire world, followed closely by Amelie. I enjoy a good chick flick, but watching things explode can be a good time too. Oh! Doctor Horrible's Sing Along Blog (show or movie? I mean, it's Joss Whedon, so either way it's amazing). Anything involving Meryl Streep, Tim Burton, or Johnny Depp is a winner in my book.

Shows: Law & Order: SVU, NCIS, Scrubs, HIMYM, Modern Family, New Girl, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Dexter, House of Cards, OITNB, Arrested Development. Anything you can find on Netflix; it's probably the best $8 a month I'll ever spend.

Oh and I'll proudly cheer on the Packers during football season.

Music: Queen, John Mayer, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Beatles, Jason Mraz, Regina Spektor, Ingrid Michaelson, The Ballroom Thieves, Mary Lambert, Sara Bareilles, Maroon 5, Beethoven, Mozart, Shostakovich, Tchaikovsky, sometimes Liszt, Pixies, Bon Iver, Adele, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, A Fine Frenzy, Avett Brothers, Frank Turner, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Pink Floyd, Foo Fighters. Broadway showtunes. This is a short list of my musical tastes.

Food: Coffee is a major food group in my book. I'll try anything, but if it's something crazy, tell me what it is AFTER I've eaten it. I don't share my kitchen very well, but I'm willing to try.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Good drinks with good company
Time spent outside
A pen and paper

This is of course aside from the obvious things like air and all that snarky stuff people usually put in here.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
A variety of things. Expand my world! Make me think! Tell me something that will completely alter my perspective. Force me to have an existential crisis; I welcome these things.

I learn best through experience and by doing. And really, the best way to understand something is by completely immersing yourself in it. Many adventures to come! Gotta keep life interesting and I refuse to become stagnant or complacent.

I'm also really curious about how people work...what makes them tick, why they act the way they do. I honestly just find people fascinating.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
out with friends or relaxing in my apartment with a glass of wine and a good book. Possibly working. Whatever the case, a good time is being had.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a mild anxiety disorder, though I handle myself far better than I used to. I decided that having anxiety for no logical reason was completely unacceptable and I've worked my ass off to fix it and improve myself. I'm really open about it, so feel free to ask any questions you might have.

I have a strange love affair with pans. 'Cause that's what pansexual is, right?

I have a (more than) slight addiction to coffee.

As a side note, I'll answer almost any questions you could throw at me. I don't get offended easily.
