My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'd like to preface this by saying if you're too lazy to at least try and learn something about me, then don't bother continuing and don't bother sending me a message. Save us both the trouble.

For the rest of you amazing people out there, here's a look inside who I am:

-Always looking for an adventure
-I love to bake. I'm definitely better at baking than I am at cooking.
-I love performing in musical theatre and it's something I've been striving to get back into.
-I'm a hopeless romantic; the little things make me giddy.
-I like reading...a lot. I'm sorry if I ignore you in favor of a book.
-I'm really good at listening...and sometimes bad at talking.
-Definitely a nerd (I play video games and D&D on occasion) and I'm sometimes overly sarcastic. You probably shouldn't talk to me if you get offended easily.
-Knowing you gives me a right to poke fun at you.
-I write short stories and poems
-I LOVE to sing, but not in front of other people (unless I'm on a stage or singing karaoke). My shower head thinks I'm very talented.
-I just like having fun. Life is too short to be taken seriously all the time.

Oh, and my name is Katie. I guess that's kind of important.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I currently work for a music store, which I absolutely love. I basically get to hang out with musicians and talk about music all day. It's kind of perfect. I completed my undergrad in music with an outside field in psychology in December 2012 and am tossing around the idea of getting a Masters in something. Other than that, just trying to kick back and enjoy life as much as possible. Just moved to the area, so I'm still in the process of getting settled in and all that jazz.

Starting to dabble in writing my own music and hopefully if my friends and I can get it together, we'll start performing a bit. Tentative travel/busking plans coming soon.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening to what others have to say and reading people. Being a dork. Tripping over air. Remembering the things everyone else forgets. Having a good time. Giving advice. Saying what everyone is thinking and doesn't have the balls to say. Fluent in sarcasm.

I'm really bad at answering messages so please don't be offended if it takes me a while to get back to you.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've been told I have a really nice smile, so I guess that's something.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Anything by Agatha Christie. Tuesdays with Morrie. The Hobbit/LOTR trilogy. Odd Thomas (or anything by Dean Koontz, really). Good Omens, American Gods, (Neil Gaiman/Terry Pratchett anyone?). Anything to do with fantasy (dragons, magic etc). Pride & Prejudice. Comic books. Stephen King books are fantastic as well. I once read the unabridged version of Les Miserables... I'll always have a soft spot for Harry Potter and I just recently started the Game of Thrones series, so if you're looking for a good read, I would highly recommend it.

Movies: I love the classics (Casablanca, etc) and Disney was the main attraction during my childhood. I love Moulin Rouge; it's one of the most romantic movies in the entire world. I like chick flicks, but action/suspense movies are pretty good too. I'm kind of a chicken, so I try to avoid horror movies if at all possible unless i have someone to hide behind. ;)

Shows: Law & Order: SVU, NCIS, Scrubs, HIMYM, Once Upon a Time, Modern Family, New Girl, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Dexter. Trying to find a way to get into things like Fringe, Firefly, and Warehouse 13. So thankful for Netflix. It's the best $8 a month I'll ever spend.

Oh and I'll proudly cheer on the Packers during football season.

Music: I have a really eclectic iTunes library ranging from classical to Broadway show tunes, jazz to hip hop/r&b. Classic rock. All kinds of stuff.

Food: I'll try just about anything.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Time away from people
Nights out with my friends
Time spent outside
A pen and paper

This is of course aside from the obvious things like air and all that snarky stuff people usually put in here.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
a variety of things. I'm a very down to earth person and I love having spur of the moment "life chats" that last for hours on end. I'm always thinking of ways to break the barriers and do something new. I love getting into debates over just about anything or talking about generally random things.

I'm also really curious about how people work...what makes them tick, why they act the way they do. Maybe that's creepy, but I just find people fascinating.

Oh, and how illiterate the online dating world seems to be.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
out with friends or relaxing in my apartment with a good book.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have an anxiety disorder. I suffer from occasional anxiety/panic attacks and I'm actually back in therapy to work on ways to overcome this. I'm open about it, so feel free to ask any questions you might have.

As a side note, I'll answer almost any questions you could throw at me. I don't get offended easily.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
-You think we'd get along! I just moved to the area and I'm always looking to meet people
-You don't have a problem with girls who know what they want and won't accept anything less
-You have some appreciation for sarcasm and wit
-You don't mind a girl who speaks her mind regardless of whether or not the other person wants to hear it

Bisexual does not mean "play toy" so if you're looking for someone to spice up your sex life, it's not me.

And if you don't know the difference between "your" and "you're," can't handle basic grammar, and you type like "wat's up? ur rly hotttt," then we really can't be friends.
