My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a simple man. A meat and potatoes kind of man. I don't need fancy meals or expensive things to be happy and I'd choose an amazing home-cooked cheeseburger and fries over a fancy chef prepared 5 course meal every time. I'm pretty sure Lynyrd Skynyrd wrote a song about this and they are words that I try to live by. But I like this version of the song best:

I'm probably more old-fashioned than is good for me and I believe that actions speak louder than words. However, I'm not particularly easy to get to know and it generally takes time for me to feel comfortable and completely be myself around whomever I'm with.

If I like you, I'll let you know. I think that things like "waiting 3 days to call" or "taking as much time as the other person to respond to a text" etc. are ridiculous and I won't keep you waiting.

I'm intelligent and ambitious. I know what I want in life and I am not afraid to go after it. If you never fail, then you aren't trying hard enough. I'm always looking for more out of life and to be the best person I can be.

I genuinely enjoy learning and I have a wide variety of interests that always leave room for me to find out something I didn't know before. One of my favorite things to learn about is fitness and nutrition and how to apply different things to my own life.

All that being said, I also like to have fun. I know when to be serious and when to relax and let loose. I am definitely not afraid to get out on the dance floor, even if I'm awful. I learned to stop caring what other people think and just have fun.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work as a business systems analyst designing banking software for a large financial technology company.

When I'm not working, I'm most likely running, at the gym, or cooking.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Squishing bugs.

Picking things up and putting them back down. Weights, bottles, people, cats, forks... you name it and I can probably pick it up and put it back down.

Hitting my macro-nutrient targets. 185P, 30F, 292C and 185P, 60F, 23C if you are curious.

Racking my weights after I finish my sets.

Broscience. Well, debunking it and explaining why it's broscience.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My nose is a little crooked and has a scar at the top of it. I've broken it twice. Once in an amateur kickboxing match and another time doing something incredibly stupid. But, if anyone asks it was during a shark attack while deep sea fishing off the coast of Mexico. I've never even been to Mexico...

My friends call me Owen occasionally now... after Owen Wilson, but my nose isn't that bad!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: The Art of War - Sun Tzu, The Wheel of Time series, A Song of Ice and Fire series (aka Game of Thrones - I have avoided the show and any spoilers like the plague as I am reading through these books!)

Movies: Gladiator, Any of Jet Li's "Epic" Martial Arts Movies (Hero, Fearless, etc), pretty much any "Kung Fu" movie, action, drama, or comedy movies.

Music: I'll listen to pretty much anything, but rock would be my favorite genre. Favorites: Skillet, Shinedown, RED, Breaking Benjamin, Linkin Park, Evans Blue, Parabelle, COLD, Disturbed, and so much more.

Lately, I've been on a Shinedown, Steve Aoki, and Childish Gambino kick...

Food: I love to cook! I tend to stick to things that involve grilled Chicken or lean steak, though. When I'm feeling like a cheat day, or it's bulking season, I'll make enchiladas and they are kind of my specialty.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Leg Day. You can't spell legendary without leg day.
The Internet
Frank's Red Hot Sauce. I do put that stuff on everything...
Ice Cream - This would be my vice.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
If I want to grow a beard or not. I'm leaning toward 'Yes.'

How there is no way that Kanye or Jay-Z can be a part of the Illuminati.

How to pick out an avocado that is ripe enough to eat right away, yet also last for a day or two without obtaining hideous looking brown spots when I want to eat it.

What I should "turn down" for.

This season's fantasy football team names and what my new draft strategy should be.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'm at home watching NetFlix or reading a book and in bed by 11-12 at the latest.

I love not waking up with a hangover and there is nothing like heavy deadlifts on Saturday morning and chatting up old ladies in the produce section of the grocery store.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've never seen an episode of Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, or The Walking Dead.
