I am curious, thoughtful, and fun-loving.

My Self-Summary

Hmmm - this is a tricky one. I think you'll find me to be dichotomous in many ways - lighthearted, but serious when needed - reserved in general, but open to those I trust & respect - intellectual & goofy (sometimes both at once). I believe that introducing new people into one's life makes it richer and more exciting - hopefully you're one of them.

What I’m doing with my life

taking things one day at a time - focusing on the now. I recently returned to Seattle from Chicago. It seems I belong here (who knew?). I am constantly looking for new things to do & learn - activities/sports, languages, travel, etc.

I’m really good at

*paying attention to details
*witty banter
*directions
*intimidation
*empathy
*massage (at least this is what the recipients say)

The first things people usually notice about me

My smile/laugh - or so my friends tell me... Oh, and my shoes - always the shoes. It's a sickness.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I love, love, love to read - mostly fiction (any genre), but I am open to suggestions. I enjoy any music that is live, and my taste varies based on my mood. Food is excellent. Yum! I have a particular weakness for tacos, but love sushi - I have an adventurous palate in general & love to try new types of food (e.g. when in Scotland, absolutely had to try the Haggis - turns out it's quite tasty)

The six things I could never do without

Water (for drinking, swimming, boating etc - must have water)
Music (hearing)
Books (vision)
Fresh air (touch & smell)
Laughter
Humanity

On a typical Friday night I am

out for dinner &/or drinks with friends, at a concert, escaping town... sometimes wishing I hadn't said 'yes' to so many people & could just spend the evening winding down from the week.

You should message me if

you enjoy sarcasm & wit, brown liquors, sports, food/wine, coffee (aka brain food - must have coffee!), live music & interesting conversation - OR - if you have book recommendations - I am always looking for them...
