My self-summary
Hi all. My name is Mark and I moved to Denver almost 2 years ago. I know you ladies get bombarded on these sites so I've broken down some of my appealing qualities for you in bullet form:
-Gainfully employed
-Former and soon to be homeowner
-Recently lost 20 pounds
-Is continuing education (smart)
-Can cook (and bake)
-Good listener
-Respects women
-Has beard
-Shaves beard off frequently for those who aren't into beards.(Currently beardless)
-Is funny (keep reading)
-Good at kissing/cuddling
-Knows the difference between "there", "their" and "they're" as well as "your" and "you're".
-Doesn't send messages that just say "sup" or "hey".
-Laid back, outgoing, spontaneous and ALL other OKC adjectives.

My sense of humor can border on the crass side and has a tendency to offend the ignorant and humorless. If you can take a joke, and are interesting and intelligent we should get along.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm in the middle of a 3 year certification process for investment professionals. It's the hardest thing I've ever embarked upon. I don't really know if I want banking to be my final destination though. I love history. How much do historians make? Oh...too bad.

I also like to drink and eat so I love going to new bars and restaurants. I finished a pretty rigorous exam in early June so now I'm trying to rediscover my social life.
I’m really good at
I'm good at trivia. I work in a cubicle so all I do is listen to podcasts and YouTube videos about science and history and such, soaking up useless knowledge. We could definitely go somewhere and dominate a pub quiz.

Oh yeah, and cooking. I'm dangerous with a saute pan and I make the best omelettes you've ever had.
The first things people usually notice about me
My jacked physique, my razor sharp wit and my exquisite sense of humor...also my humility, definitely humility.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Just got done with A Farewell To Arms and I'm slowly working on A People's History of The United States. Other than that, I'm pretty much catching up on what everyone else read in high school because my high school sucked. So recently I've read The Great Gatsby, Brave New World, Ender's Game, Slaughterhouse Five and a few other Vonnegut books (he taught at my university). My all time favorite is Hemingway (The Sun Also Rises).

Currently on the iPod: Gaslight Anthem, My Morning Jacket, Titus Andronicus, Jay-Z, The Hold Steady, Arctic Monkeys, Jack White, Bruce Springsteen, Gary Clark Jr, Kings of Leon, Wax Fang.

I enjoy all movies involving any of the following people: Martin Scorsese, Tom Hanks, Stephen Spielberg, Michael Mann, George Lucas, Terrance Malick, Hitchcock, and the Coen brothers.

TV: Daily Show, Colbert, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, American Dad, Family Guy, The Simpsons (yes, its still on). Also pretty much everything that is or has ever been on HBO.
The six things I could never do without
Social/Economic Justice
Alcohol
Google
Podcasts (Stuff You Should Know, This American Life, Planet Money, Hardcore History)
Debating hypothetical situations
NPR
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Tangible net worth, how the gap between the ultra wealthy and everyone else is too big, fixed charge coverage ratios, football, the future, why so many people have pictures of themselves driving.
On a typical Friday night I am
Most likely something involving food, alcohol and/or doing hoodrat stuff with my friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I do yoga. Poorly. What of it? Wanna fight about it? I find it relaxing. At least it's not like there's a giant mirror in front of the room so you can see what a jackass you look like...
