My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I grew up in Hawaii (which was amazing), went to college in Seattle (so fun), worked in California, Mississippi, and the Midwest ('08 Obama field organizer and two stints in AmeriCorps), and then came to NYC for law school and work (good times). I just moved from a two-bedroom on the Upper East Side to a studio in Greenwich Village so now I'm trying to figure out what having a real grown-up apartment is supposed to look like.

I come from a family of artists - my dad's a sculptor, my mom's a graphic designer, and my sister's an industrial designer. Me, not so much. It did have its perks though since the closest my mom ever got to being a Tiger Mom was her telling me to draw bowls of fruit instead of the X-Men.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I graduated from law school last year, and now I'm at a big law firm after doing a pro bono fellowship working with domestic violence victims. Working at the firm is kind of like Suits, but only the parts where Mike is sitting at his desk working.

I flew around the world last year, too! I've been taking improv classes for almost a year now, you can tell by how spontaneous and unscripted my profile sounds.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
No matter where I am or what I'm doing, life has always been pretty sweet. That's a skill, right?

I'm bad at walking without tripping. I have ridiculous giant clown feet that get caught on stairs, tables and totally flat surfaces.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
If I'm wearing shorts, you can see the big, gnarly-looking scar on my right knee. It's kinda ugly but I'm just glad it's not on my face.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Shows: I like the usual shows that everybody loves but according to the Nielsen ratings nobody actually watched: Community, Arrested Development, Parks and Rec, Happy Endings, and 30 Rock. I really like New Girl, Sherlock, Brooklyn Nine-Nine (mostly because of Chelsea Peretti), Game of Thrones, Workaholics and The League too. Oh, and Broad City is SO GOOD

Movies: My friends and I are really into sneaking food into the theater, so tell me if you have any suggestions for good movie food! Shake Shack and a whole pizza have been our best ones yet.

Music: It's weird, I feel more guilty about how Spotify is underpaying artists than I ever did back when I was downloading MP3s. How does that work?

Books: I'm reading a collection of Nora Ephron's writing right now and it's really great. If you like her movies, do yourself a favor and read some of her work.

Food: I love food. Eating food, thinking about food, and watching tv shows about food. I'm an adventurous eater, so I always try to go to new restaurants and order whatever I've never eaten before.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I'm stretching the definition of this past actually essential stuff to things I really like:

A lacrosse ball: My body gets sore from the gym so since I can't afford to get a massage every week, I lie on a lacrosse ball and let it dig into my knots. If you have a sore back or shoulders, you should try it, too! Just make sure to put a yoga mat or something similar underneath you so the ball doesn't slip.

A hat: I don't get how mainland people walk around in winter without something covering their ears, it hurts so much.

Airplanes that take me back home to Hawaii: It only happens about once a year, but I get sad if I'm away from the island for too long.

Podcasts: Because it gets boring on the subway. I've been really into Hardcore History lately, so hit me up if you have any burning questions about the Eastern Front of World War II or the end of the Roman Republic.

Eye drops: When it's cold and windy, my eyes water a lot. For some reason, eye drops help with that. When you and I meet for our first date and I have tears running down my face, it's not because I was just crying. I swear.

Friends who take pictures: If it weren't for them, I wouldn't have any pictures for this site, and then you probably wouldn't have gotten this far.

Staying up too late and paying for it the next morning.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Yes I do want to continue watching you Netflix, I've only been watching for like two hours so stop judging me.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Being happy because I get to go out with my friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Back in high school, I made a bet with my best friend that I could get this weird artsy girl voted prom queen. I fell in love with her, but she turned out to be really hot when she took off her glasses, so it all turned out fine.

(But for real, it's actually that after going back home for vacation, I now have ridiculous tan lines on my thighs that make me look like I'm wearing stockings)
