My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
This is a first for me. An expanding-my-horizons sort of thing. I love life and I'm trying to experience as much of it as I can. I love:
Books
Music (most everything but specifically hardcore punk and folk/western weird, huh?)
Family
Art
Learning about this incredible place I'm lucky to by chance, inhabit.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently I'm doing account management while studying to get my LAC.. I love my job and look forward to going every day. I took several years after high school to do some, for lack of a better explaination, "soul searching." During that time I experienced some very horrifying things and found myself in an awful place both emotionally and physically. I've clawed and fought my way out of that life; Im happy to say that it made me stronger and a better man. Though it was hell I wouldn't change the path I took because I wouldn't be the man Iam today without having lived that.

I want to teach because I think if an educator acts as a strong mentor and shows that learning doesn't have to be boring that they can help turn the tide in a young person's life. If I can share my story and steer even one kid away from the pain I experienced as a result of my poor choices then that will have made my entire career worth it.

I'm writing, a lot. Because who isn't working on a novel these days?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being sarcastic (it tends to get me in trouble)
Pumpkin carving; which was a recent, but gratifying discovery
Horse shoes. I fucking love horse shoes. Its WAY more fun than beer pong
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've never asked; but now I'm curious so I'll let you know next time I meet someone new.

Authors: Bret Easton Ellis, Bukowski, Dostoevsky, Gunter Grass, Palahniuk, Vonnegut, Burroughs, Irvine Welsh, Anthony Burgess.. basically I like books.

TV: bugs me for the most part but I really love Nat Geo, through the wormhole with Morgan Freeman, frontline, nova, californication (though I haven't seen it in at least two years) and I'm embarrassed to admit this; but the I found the first season of New Girl to be moderately hilarious.

Bands: black flag, minor threat, Lucero, bright eyes, murder by death, waxwIng, rocky votolato, the ghost inside, bane, hundredth, counterparts, youth of today, liferuiner, more than life, modern life is war, champion, defeater, with the punches, lemuria, chuck regan, touche amore ... so much more

I think my favorite modern film at this time is an impossible-to-determine-a-winner kind of tie between There Will Be Blood, Paris At Midnight (oddly enough considering I normally loathe Owen Wilson) or The Proposition
Classic film, hands down is Citizen Kane. I'm also an Akira Kurosawa fan (I am my father's son, undoubtedly)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What dogs are thinking about and if they're as content as they seem to be
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
"Typical" is not in my Friday vocabulary.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm in long-term recovery. I don't do the 12-step thing though. I don't have a problem with people who make different choices about drinking or the 420 thing, it's just not for me anymore.

I also get really turned on when a girl knows how to effectively curse. This isn't a requirement by any means, just something that makes me smile
