My self-summary
Um, well, I'm a computer nerd, former Literature Major, who is addicted to the New Yorker, works in public schools, and likes to do Triathlons. I'm also pretty active in the Tibetan Buddhist scene (Drikung Kagyu Lineage) and I meditate daily.
What I’m doing with my life
After a few years as DJ in the Cleveland electronic music scene, and another few years studying and playing jazz in Pittsburgh, I got my masters from Hopkins and settled into a career as a Technology Coordinator...for now.... I currently work in a charter school in the city and also do some IT consulting work on the side.
I’m really good at
I'm pretty decent at lots of things. Mostly because I learn as much as I can about something, then move on. I get bored easily. Right now, it's Routing Protocols, but I'm already leaning toward a PHD in Education...which I thought I might have been done with. The past year has really inspired me to not give up on the idealistic over the practical--the "sure thing". Life's too short, dude.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Lately, I've been trying to make some tough decisions about my next career move. And wondering about getting into a relationship with a quality gal!
On a typical Friday night I am
At home. Creating or researching for work, pleasure or out of simple curiosity. Today I ran the lights and sound (along with my tech protégées) for the 8th grade graduation ceremony for the charter school where I work. Then I learned how to make cuttings from this cool rain forest Philodendron plant, then I totally updated my OK Cupid Profile and ate a sandwich and cleaned my bedroom.

Last weekend I got to see one of my favorite students--a former mentee, if you will--graduate from High School with full rides to two schools, one small liberal arts school near Philly, and also Morgan State.

The weekend before that I removed the regular telephone line from the house and replaced it with CAT-6 Ethernet cable and increased my DLS speed by like 30% simply by reducing RF interference.

The weekend before that, I planted a garden and saw a rad, local film called I Used to Be Darker at the Baltimore Film Festival.

The weekend before that I chilled at The National Aquarium with my two-year-old nephew who came down from Pittsburgh with my sister and mother. T

he weekend before that I changed the rotors, front brake pads, and oil on my car for the first time.

Right now, I'm working for our summer school program and am in total study mode until the 8th when I take a Computer Networking Certification Exam that I have been procrastinating on and which I need to pass soon!!

Nothings really typical, except meditation coffee, reading, sleeping, and my little addiction to Call of Duty Black Ops II. (That's a video game, BTW.)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I quit drinking six months ago, because, well...I'm not as good at it as I used to be!
