I'm a family oriented optimistic guy looking to share my interests with someone who has a zest for living and a little twinkle in her eye. I'm a person who will help you out in a pinch and I will make sacrifices to achieve a better outcome. So yes I drive a used car so I can pay for my children's college tuition and I consider their tuition costs the best investment I will ever make. I've learned how to cook well so my children can eat a healthy diet and enjoy a meal comparable to one at a fine restaurant. My friends, family and faithful dog Patsy would describe me as the "giver" in a relationship. "I am to please" is my motto and I'm looking to find someone to please and someone who is pleasing. Once committed to a relationship I'm faithful. When I was married, I was always faithful to my ex-wife and I did my level best to keep the family together but sometimes things just don't work out so you have to pick up your marbles move on. I believe if you share your love of life, work hard and have faith, you will have good outcomes. So far this formula has worked well for me and has allowed me to live a happy prosperous life. I set goals for myself because I like self improvement. I exercise regularly because this really improves the quality of my life and allows me to enjoy an active life to include skiing, hiking, biking, golfing and swimming. I like to read and discuss interesting topics with people. Right now I'm reading philosophy books because I didn't get a chance to take any philosophy courses when I was in college. I also read a lot of IT related books because this is what I teach and technology seems to change at warp speed. I don't take myself seriously, living with children I have learned to be humble. I strive to be better.

I'm looking for a caring and compassionate woman to spend time with and to enjoy life. It takes time to develop a relationship and if there is a spark then maybe fireworks will develop. I live in a small town where there are not very many single woman so my goal is to reach out and see if I can find a companion. I spend time keeping up with the latest technology so I can be a more effective teacher. I love to learn.

I'm reading the Enders series right now but normally I read non fiction. I read Boomerang which I thought was a great book about the financial collapse, very funny. Treasure of the Sierra Madre is one of my favorite movies because it really emphasizes the silliness of life. We spend our time collecting our goods only to see them all eventually blow away into the wind. So my motto is to enjoy life everyday and laugh at yourself. I like all kinds of music and I like a good steak.
