My Self-Summary
What I’m doing with my life
Aside from work and school, I am happily married and theoretically nonmonogamous. Theoretically because in all fairness I don't really have more time to offer to somebody romantically. I'm blessed to have understanding friends, but I wouldn't want to inflict my schedule on someone who wanted more from me.

The first things people usually notice about me
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Expansion! Susan Cooper's Dark is Rising sequence is one of the best series ever written. If you haven't read it, go to your library and get it. I know it sounds cheesy but this series shaped me.
Diana Wynne Jones seems to be most popular for her Chrestomanci novels (well, that and Howl's Moving Castle), but I highly recommend A Tale of Time City as it is my favourite of all her wonderful books.
S.M. Stirling likes to play with history. The Sky People and The Peshawar Lancers are, in my humble opinion, his 2 best.
Elizabeth Ann Scarborough is known for cowriting with Anne McCaffrey, but her solo books are so much better! (which is saying something) If you can find the books, I recommend you read The Songkiller Saga. Highly. Like...NOW. Go ahead, I can wait.
Pamela F Service wrote Weirdos of the Universe, Unite!, and Being of Two Minds, 2 of my favourite books of all time.
Willo Davis Roberts = The Girl with the Silver Eyes. Why yes, I do love children's fiction with alienated ousiders!
Louis L'amour wrote The Iron Marshal and you should go read it. And the Sackett novels. No, I don't really like Westerns, just Louis.
Patricia C Wrede wrote The Enchanted Forest Chronicles. What, a princess who is an outsider and doesn't fit in so goes to live with the dragons? Sign me up!
The Girl Who Owned a City is one of the best books of all time. I don't care what anybody says about survivalist propaganda, it's a good read.
Grace Livingston Hill wrote Christian romance, she died in 1947 so you have an idea of the era she wrote in :). I love her books unabashedly and unashamedly.
Kage Baker writes the Company novels about cyborgs who travel throug time, and their possible revolution at a shady time in the future no one has any knowledge about. What's not to like?
Carrie Vaughn writes the Kitty books. Kitty is a werewolf and a radio DJ. You really really ought to giver her a read.
All the Beth Hilgartner books I loved seem to be out of print, but...if your local library has them I highly recommend them. Any of them. There are a couple that I haven't read, but based on the quality of her other writing I can pretty much guarantee that it's worth a read.
