My life is definitely what you get when you take the other path. Successful and failed businesses. Each job having little to nothing to do with the next. This doesn't mean I'm aimless, I'm just willing to sacrifice some time and money to really find out what clicks. Not very pragmatic, but I learn far more this way than if I had just been an accountant.

I've been all over the world and have seen and done things that will always be ingrained in my mind. Think less getting stoned in Amsterdam or drinking underneath the Eiffel tower and more gongshow in the Middle East.

The people I hang out with are really diverse. If you think that I'm to much of a yuppie or too dorky or not nerdy enough you're probably off.

I'll go backcountry camping with you, snowboard if that's your thing. Do you want to talk about comics or play some D&D? I'm up for it. Want to know how to wire your house or make a singing Tesla coil? I can show you. Cool exhibit? Of course I'll go with you.

I won't go see a Jennifer Aniston movie with you. Even I have limits.

So much and yet so little. I've come to the conclusion that I'm going to be 80 and still not know what I want to do. But then I'll look back and smile, because it was such an interesting life.

Finding a different way of looking at things. Everything else I'm not sure about. It's possible that I suck at that as well.

Books: Master and Margarita. Catch-22. Simulacra and Simulation. No one Belongs Here More Than You. Everything else is icing on the cake.

Movies: Anything with a good feel. Amelie, Eyes Wide Shut, Pink Panther, Lost In Translation, Stranger Than Fiction, One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest. Most John Candy movies. Elf.

Shows: Right now it's Community and Parks and Rec. Lot's of past favorites like Firefly, AD, Seinfeld, Simspons

Music: Far too much to list. I like something from every genre. Doesn't matter if it's 80's American punk, indie, electronic, bluegrass, classic rock, post-rock, jazz, classical (Especially classical), etc...

The ability to move wherever I wish and to do nearly anything I like. And to recognize that I still have that choice despite the circumstances.

How this site is structured like an RPG. Do X to get 50% completion. Contact 5 new people to get to 95%. What is that extra 5%?! I must know.

Am I wasting my talents? Do I have talents to waste? Why the universe is what it is. Our skipped generation. Music. Sociology. Aesthetics (Trying to narrow down why I like what I like). Why is it that so many of us live a life we don't like. Especially atheists/agnostics where there is no second act. There is constant chatter.

I don't have a typical night. Playing music, out and about, in the summer hopefully somewhere outsdoors, video games, relaxing, reading, talking to friends that live far away.

Sometimes I listen to 60's jazz and walk around just so I can feel like Inspector Clouseau.

Also, I like the Hunger Games.
