Fun, energetic, passionate, and too clever by half.

Working, playing lots of sport, travelling -work takes me around the big mean cities of the world, so when it's solely for pleasure, I'm on back roads and small villages, usually close to a beach. In the last couple of years I've spent time Nicaragua, Cuba, Laos, Uganda and Inisturk! Partly because these places appeal to my contrarian nature, but mainly because I find it more rewarding to get some insight into what other people do with their lives that I otherwise would be totally ignorant of.

Talking myself into tricky situations, and then stressing about how to get out of them.

For books -I have a shelf full of non fiction treats -anything from Dervla Murphy to Steven Pinker. Really good writing can convince me to read just about anything. I just finished Cheryl Strayed's Wild, which is a great read. I'm now researching hiking the Pacific Crest Trail, and I'm look for company!

I love going to the movies and I'm normally heading to the IFI or Lighthouse once a week. I find the clientele less distracting and the films better. Argot or Lincoln for best film? The Oscar goes to Argot. Come on. Really?

Always on the look out for new tunes. Currently digging New Jackson, The Civil Wars, and Alt J. Currently listening to The National; city middle, if you're wondering. I seem to have a late blooming interest in hardcore dance. Maybe it'll pass. I hope not.

Tricky enough question. I like to think there's very little I could live without, but the empirical testing has only gone so far. My backpack, travel towel and passport are a must, I'll concede.

My immeadiate future, given that I'm moving from Europe to Asia in the not too distant future.

Oh, and revising my up til now big love for Apple products. My too lovely macbook air had the indecency of crashing its dard drive last week. "You have backed I presume, sir?" Hmmmm....

You're outrageously good fun, but prepared to frown down for a debate on the merits of a humanist perspective on evolutionary psychology. You're sexy in an athletic kinda way. You're never quite sure of the balance between taking life seriously and recognising the grand humour of it all. You haven't stopped learning and don't intend to anytime soon.
