Tolkien, GRRM, Joe Abercrombie (think Tolkien and Kurosawa combined with political machinations of Game of Thrones), and mythology for escapism.. Pretty much anything else for intellectual reading...
Moonwalking with Einstein by Josh Foer was a really cool book on the way memory and the mind works.. I recommend it.
Reading Marcus Aurelius right now.
I enjoy most movies for what they are. top movies might go something like 1 - Gladiator (I cried at the end..) 2 - LotR trilogy (yes they are all 1 12+ hour movie) 3 - I don't know.. so many good ones put whatever you want here.. Just watched Seven Psychopaths which was brilliant.. I like those superhero movies..
The best show on TV is justified (Season 4 just started). Psych is probably the the best comedy. Boardwalk Empire and Mad Men the best period pieces. BBC's Sherlock the best mini-series. I watch a lot of TV.. Family Guy is still funny.. I don't care what they say...
I haven't watched Game of Thrones yet even though the books are amazing.. I am waiting for all of them to come out then I'll lock myself in a room for a week so I am not left waiting for the next episode/season.. It has been known to happen before.. *cough* house of cards *cough* (but then so did everyone else right?)
I'm not huge into music but can listen to almost anything. if I had to choose it would probably be classic rock.
I eat all sorts of food, and generally would try most things at least once..
If I had to choose it would be some generic list of internet/type of food/friends/sports/tea..
