I am brazen, passionate, and fun times :).

My Self-Summary

"[I am] a [wo]man who wishes nothing more than daily to lose some reassuring belief, who seeks and finds [her] happiness in this daily greater liberation of the mind."

All right, so Nietzsche said it, but it is equally as true for me.

Other important things about me:
I'm blunt...probably to a fault...
LOVE tequila.
Can't spell to save my life, and people have to edit my page.
No memory whatsoever.
Baby got back.
My natural tendencies, like most Americans, lead me to live a life of extremes, but I'm actively trying to be moderate in most things (note: not ALL things...)
I fear my wanderlust can not be set aside. (And this terrifies me slightly)
I like being challenged, and expect the same from me.
Don't mistake my passion for anger, it's not.
I'd rather spend time with a child than an adult any day of the week.
I've got too many grandiose plans to possibly accomplish in one lifetime. But that's not going to stop me from trying.

What I’m doing with my life

living it.

trying to do more than simply abide my time until the peace corps decides if they want me.

I’m really good at

being passionate (and therfore being misunderstood)

The first things people usually notice about me

eyes, hair, smile, nose, clothes...pick some other superficial attribute.

unless you're a different type of person, in which case it's my over-exuberance/love of life or my aura (really, i've been told i have a nice one)

but really, it's probably that i have no filter. things go from my mind to my mouth that mayhaps shouldn't.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Invitation to a Beheading, The Double (In fact, all those old Russian dudes), Reading Lolita in Tehran, The God Delusion, Margaret Atwood poems,The Confederacy of Dunces, House of Leaves, Orwell...wow. Huge fan of children's literature...current fav: The Book Thief.

Movies: I don't really get out much. Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate the artsy fartsy shit, and sometimes downright enjoy it, but I mostly use that TV contraption thing to turn off the brain/giggle a bit. If I want brain stimulation I stick to books and art for the most part. My all time two favorites are: Saved and Newsies (seriously). And Eternal Sunshine (obviously). Michel Gondry is magical. Recently rediscovered the magic of E.T. and The Client. That was a good day.

Music: Good stuff. Like: SPANK ROCK...anything Amanda Blank for that matter (I have the biggest girl crush on her), Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, MGMT, Daft Punk, Emiliana Torrini, Margot & the Nuclear So and So's, Of Montreal, Foo Fighters, Simon and Garfunkel, The Postal Service, James Taylor, Cranberries, The Avett Brothers, The Kooks, Los Deliquentes, LCD Soundsystem, Alejandro Escoveda, Art In Manilla, FIONA APPLE, John Fogerty, Basement Jaxx, M.I.A., The National, Snow Patrol, BRIGHT EYES, Tokyo Police Club, Tom Petty, My Morning Jacket, The Bends, Regina Spektor, RILO KILEY...and everything Jenny Lewis (another girl crush, obviously), Traveling Wilburys, Tribe Called Quest, OASIS, Wilco, Keren Ann, Mirah, Gypsy Kings, Andrew Bird, Ryan Adams, Santogold, Shakira, and the new Spoon...even though they broke my heart in concert and I've been boycotting them for years...well okay, A year...

Food: Chocolate milk and grilled cheese when left to my own accord... +I like to add cool whip to everything. I've been cooking lots of yummy things lately! It's not nearly as hard as I thought it was.

The six things I could never do without

music...listening and playing, live or digital.

laughing...at myself or with others.

books

discussions (with slightly argumentative undertones...passion if you will) (preferably over a bottle of wine)

oh wait, wine definitely gets its very own spot on the list. the red kind. me likes.

all things a little dirty...

I spend a lot of time thinking about

life. mine. others'. the whys of it. more importantly the why nots of it.

people. places. languages.

psychology+sociology+anthropology+biology (=life).

the cycle of poverty.

how to save the world.

On a typical Friday night I am

I'm out and about, unless I'm not.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

i play the tuba.
yeah, i know.
pretty much the definition of cool.
look it up.

You should message me if

tequila is your drink of choice.

annoyingly chipper people don't get on your last nerve.

you have a delicious recipe...wait, let me backup...and delicious EASY(ish) recipe you'd like to send my way and help me on my newest ambition: learning to cook.

you actively try not judge people (glass house and all...)

you love the white sox.

a bottle of wine, baguette, and brie (preferably outdoors) sounds like a great dinner to you.

you think you can handle a gemini.

you don't use annoying text type

you know when to text and when to call

pretty much don't be a ween and message me if you want to...and no wooing. i've blocked them. be a big boy...or girl...and use your words.
