My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Well, let's see.. I'm a Texas boy, born and raised. I grew up in the Hill Country, and moved to Austin 6 years ago to muddle my way through a mostly worthless American Studies degree at UT. I love Americana music, good beer, and new friends. I'm into the outdoors and cooperative living. I spent the past year building houses. I wish I was Willie Nelson. Let's hang out!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
These days I'm working a dead-end office job. On a slightly more interesting note, I also run a lemonade stand at a farmer's market. When I'm not working, I'm taking Music Business classes at Austin College of Champions.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I don't know about REALLY good, but I'm pretty decent at writing joke country songs.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm pretty liberal for a Texan.

When it comes to music, Townes, Prine, and Dylan are my all-time faves. I'm on board with pretty much anything folk/bluegrass/Americana, but lately I've been on a huge Harry Nilsson kick. Collecting and listening to vinyl is also a big hobby of mine.

I don't have time to read as much as I'd like these days, but when I do it's usually historical nonfiction. Snoozers, I know. Currently working on Devil and the White City. Favorite book of all time is Lonesome Dove.

I've been really trying to cut down on TV lately, but I just don't know what I would do without Parks and Rec. Also, I'm slowly but surely working my way through the X-Files.

I love most foods. Except casseroles. It's just too many foods smushed into one dish. I'm aware that it's a ridiculous aversion.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Musicking
Family
Cerveza!
Camping
Coffee
My burgeoning record collection
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
trying to decide how many hours of sleep I can get away with and still be functional at work the next morning.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I spent most of my adolescence with a terrible bowl cut.
