I am judgmental, opinionated, and open-minded.
My Self-Summary
I'm 21, and I'm currently doing the college thing. I value honesty
over pretty much all else, though intelligence is a close second. I
enjoy talking about philosophy, whether that random kitten truly
does lust for my blood, and things of that ilk. I feel no need to
actively be 'doing' anything, I'm quite content just to exist and
converse with my friends. People are what matters to me, not
activities.
I've also lived a substantial amount of time in African countries.
My father is a diplomat and my mother is an international lawyer,
so we've tended to live in third world countries. I loved the
lifestyle of moving often and visiting/living in many different
countries. Thus, I plan for my own job/life to replicate it.
:)
I'm a relatively happy/content outgoing person or a
discontent/content quiet person.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm going to college right now, and then either taking the Foreign
Service exam or joining the military. I wouldn't go career
military, but both my parents are mil. or ex-mil. and the idea of
not having some sort of adult relationship with that culture
doesn't sit well with me.
In my opinion, life is all about the relationships you have. I
value my friends and my family over all else. Having honest, open,
and affectionate relationships with people I care about and respect
is really the road to happiness for me. All else is secondary.
Which is actually part of the reason why I'm interested in the
Foreign Service. I plan to have a large family (4+ kids), and the
Foreign Service takes really good care of families overseas, not to
mention most third world countries put more priority on family and
family responsibility than America does.
I’m really good at
Seeing both sides of an issue, ranting, giving 'too much
information' when asked simple questions (how are you doing?,
what's up?, etc), over-analyzing everything and anything,
obsessing, getting into debates over things I really have no firm
opinion on, and existing within the happy embrace of the sun or my
friends.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably how thin I am, truth be told...or perhaps that ketchup
stain on my shirt...
I have a habit of saying things to complete strangers that others
would shy away from saying even to their close friends. I also tend
to talk to myself or/and start conversations randomly with
strangers around me.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
a)
I Know Where the Red
Fern Grows,
Thursday's Child,
The Blue Castle,
Song of
Ice and Fire Series,
The Wheel of Time Series,
Ender's
Game,
Black
Jewels Trilogy, and basically all sci-fi/fantasy.
b)
The
Patriot,
Braveheart,
Boondock Saints,
The Stand,
Gladiator,
While You Were
Sleeping,
The Little Princess, and
Unforgiven.
c) All genres have at least some songs I like, though I tend not to
like the majority of rap. I'm currently loving Dar Williams and All
American Rejects, but usually country is the best bet :)
d) Fruits. Mac and Cheese. Stuffing and Mashed Potatoes. Bread.
Pancakes. I get cravings for weird crap sometimes, but usually all
those are good bets. Oh, caramel and whip cream + fruits.
The six things I could never do without
my computer + internet connection, digital camera, my phone, my
school, my friends, and my family
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Philosophy,
Politics, Life,
People,
Ethics,
Current Duties, Family, and Whomever I'm Currently Obsessing Over
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably hanging with my friends, doing homework, playing on the
net, sleeping, or reading. I don't like the party scene, nor the
clubbing scene. Large groups make me feel very lonely, so anything
over about 5 people is too large for my liking. I don't stand out
as particularly anti-social in a group and, if anything, people who
don't know me tend to think of me as rather extroverted. It's all a
front :)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I really dislike physical intimacy (kissing+) with people I don't
know quite well, so I tend to crush on my guy friends as they're
the ones I'm comfortable with. Which hasn't actually gone that well
historically, as my closest male friends aren't necessarily people
who are compatible with me.
You should message me if
you want to.
Simple.
