My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Who I am: a collector of religions, books and odd facts, an astrologer, a psychotherapist, a person with a dry sense of humor, a sometime martial artist, a bad linguist, a lover of particular types of beauty, an intellectual (or pseudo intellectual, depending on who you are), an INTJ, Pisces with a moon in Scorpio and Capricorn rising, an expatriate Yooper, a bones and harmonica player (I like strange instruments but would like to learn a "normal one" someday), a lover of Ethiopian food, a non-conformist and occasional public speaker on various topics. I am considered a good and loyal friend, and somewhat of a romantic.

I have two degrees from the University of Michigan, work two to three jobs depending on how you count them. Lately, I've been attracted to dogs on the street (no! Not THAT way!) and I'd love to date someone with their own dog. I am NOT normal by any means and to call me that would be to insult me!

Faults I have: I am considerably less than spic and span and range from disorganized to slobbish (however, I accept help in organizing things, it helps me get motivated). I turned 53 in March thus I may be too old for some and too young for others. I have too many books. I am occasionally melancholy. I look at other women. I sometimes get too involved in my thoughts or surfing the web. I've lost some weight but I still would need to lose about 5 pounds to feel the best. I'm not terribly motivated to have children.

About Religion: If you are a fundamentalist anything, sorry but I'm not interested. If you are "spiritual" as opposed to religious, that's okay. If you are a member of a minority religion (Buddhist, Taoist, Wiccan, Pagan, Unitarian or Asatru) that I would consider interesting. I would describe myself as a NeoPagan Taoist with a sprinkling of new ageism.

About Sex: Okay, I am really looking for the right person and would prefer someone with attitudes that would include being sexually adventurous to even slightly kinky. In fact, I've recently come to identify myself as polyamorous but that largely means I'm not jealous. If you are dating someone else, I really won't mind, but, with my schedule, I currently don't have time or inclination to see more than one person. I don't believe in playing games that include degrading someone but dominance and submission can be fun to play with. I've spent time as a psychotherapist and as a student of religion learning about sex in all its aspects and would love a partner with a lot of openness to experimentation.

Who I'm looking for: Someone who would NOT describe themselves as ordinary or normal (both of which I consider boring). I'm looking for someone who is intelligent and hopefully educated (although self educated counts). If you have similar interests to those above that would be great, or, if you'd like to learn about some of my interests, so much the better. If you are someone with interests of your own that you are passionate about and would like to share, great! If you have a strong sense of self, have your own occupation that you are happy with and would never marry someone and "take their name" then I'd be that much more interested. If you're looking for someone for the long haul, to spend time/years together and adventure through life, email me (if you send your birth data, that's a bonus to this astrologer!). Republicans and muggles need not apply.

Oh, and for updates, check out my journal entries! I put my User's Guide in there, along with an essay about my sense/take on relationships.
