i love finding awesome stuff in dumpsters and getting a strange pick up at the food pantry. i like traveling with people i don't know very well. i dislike being awakened by alarms.

currently reading 'how nonviolence protects the state' by peter gelderloos. the good earth by pearl s buck was my favorite piece of fiction i've read in awhile.

i watch a lot of documentaries, but when i'm in the mood i like movies like: the crow, spirited away, blade runner, alien(s), bourne series, taken, underworld series (last three in guilty pleasure sort of way)

i listened to a lot of oldies, motown, and classic rock when i was really young. punk rock changed my life, haha. i'm not a musician but i like to dance to cumbias and such. some bands i jam a lot: dead kennedys, antischism, kimya dawson, hooray for the riff raff, alicia keys, trampled by turtles, woody guthrie, belle and sebastian, modest mouse, bjork, sick of it all, descendents, screeching weasel, minor threat, fugees, lauryn hill, bad brains, old against me, blackbird raum, and outkast. i like to cruise to 90s r&b and hip-hop and 98.5 the beat

i love food and i love to cook. eggplant parmesan, pizza, pad thai, enchiladas, good salsa, anything free. i love good sauces.

a lot of the movies, books, and music i like is based on content. i'm interested in social struggles, d.i.y. ethic, and creating alternatives that challenge ideas, societal norms, my conceptions of reality, human nature.
