My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a quirky kind of girl- I try to avoid average at all costs. I enjoy intelligent conversations but have a lot of really bizarre friends. I prefer small gatherings to large parties. I'm passionate about a lot of things, but try to spend most of my time writing.

I don't buy in to stereotypes, so try not to judge me until you get to know me- I'm sure there will be things about that seem to make no sense at all in the beginning, but most of the time they're big parts of what make me ME, and I wouldn't be the same without them.

I don't have any "types" or permenant standards for the men I'm interested in, but I'm looking for someone I can spend time with, who wont judge me for the silly things I do, and who understands (or at the very least accepts) that I'm not always going to be in a cuddly kind of mood.

I am silly, soft-spoken, and spontaneous
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working on a PhD in English at UL Lafayette.

My ultimate career goals are to be a college English professor and a professional writer/screenwriter.

I don't get out much, but when I do I try my best to enjoy every moment.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening- I'm always there for people who need someone to talk to (even if they aren't always there for me). I can give good advice if desired, or I can simply sit and commiserate.

Reading- I generally go through a paperback a week, sometimes more if I've got the time. I always have a book on me, and I'm known to pull it out whenever I get a spare minute. My Nook is both awesome and evil- It's great because it let's me carry around tons of books without looking like a crazy person(or breaking my back), but it sucks because nothing will ever replace the feel, smell and comfort of an actual paper book.

Writing- I'm a creative soul, I can't help it. I couldn't draw to save my life, but give me a pencil and a pad of paper and I can fill it up pretty fast. Whether it be an academic work or something more interesting, I'm usually capable of making it sound good (even if it isn't). What can I say, I'm good at what I do.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes. Or at least that's what I've been told. I got Lasik about 3 years ago and it has to be the greatest thing I've ever done for myself.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I will read any book you put in front of me, even if it's terrible (and believe me, I've read my fair share of mind-numbingly boring books). My favorite books are The Westing Game (Ellen Raskin), The Dante Club (Matthew Pearl), The Sookie Stackhouse Novels (Charlaine Harris), and The Lord of the Rings (Tolkein).

I also adore movies, and own quite the massive collection. I prefer horror and science fiction, but I also love kids movies (heh), comedies, and action films. My top five films of all time are: Stargate, The Little Mermaid, Starship Troopers (don't you dare laugh), Nightmare on Elm Street, and The Others.

As for music, I'll listen to whatever is on the radio. I'm not picky. I prefer not to have to listen to dirty music (and by that I mean lyric-wise), but if it's on, whatever.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Books
2. Popcorn
3. My computer
4. A Comfy Pillow
5. A Dictionary
and
6. A Pencil
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Things. Everything. Anything. Nothing. I'm always thinking, or daydreaming, or something. Everywhere. All the time. It's a vice.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At home, curled up on the couch with a blanket, watching a movie. And while I very much like it that way, an occasional night out would be most enjoyable.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Whatever you ask, I'll probably answer.
