I am the person on the left in the photo. Just returned to SF after a brief exile in the Pacific Northwest.

I think I'm a nice, generally intelligent and interesting guy, although I'm sure most people feel that way about themselves.

Recently I suffered an injury to my hands, which was startling, and also the best thing that's ever happened to me (in part because I got to keep both hands).

Don't really know what I do for work, but they keep paying me, so I don't complain in public.

Yet to be determined. I've bounced around the world for a while without settling on exactly what I'm up to. Just came off a project in international disaster management. Currently talking a lot.

Overall, I care about climbing things, collecting stories, repeating them, and arguing with intelligent people. Also walking to places.

Moving large objects, telling stories that happened, getting on top of places.

I can brew a nice beer, mix a decent cocktail, and cook quite well as long as there's no baking. I absolutely love feeding people.

Tall skinny white boy. I'm told I look like a vampire, which is unsettling.

Ways to be proud of my life forty years from now. This boils down to whether to concertedly search for a plausible job, or move to Africa/ Asia again and build up my reserves of wonder.

Studying cocktail menus so I can pretend to be cool later. Riding MUNI to and from.

As a child, having learned that ducks migrate annually, I insisted on saving the bathwater in the tub. 'For the ducks'.

I like this. If this is how far we come in the first twenty years, I can't imagine where we go with the next forty.

Also, anyone you climbs/ boulders, please say hi. That outweighs all other factors.

And please do not start off by telling me about how intuitive you are. Everyone thinks they are intuitive. Its called being a human being. If you really do have something special going on, you wont need to say so.
