My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I like being on stage and singing and speaking in public, but I'm terrible at leaving a decent voicemail.

I love craft beer and discovering new brews, but I won't turn my nose up at a Coors Light or Michelob Ultra, especially in the summer, especially outdoors at sunset.

I follow Philadelphia sports (especially the Flyers) and college basketball, with great interest, but I'll never understand the way that some fans treat people who come to town to support the other team.

I like bars but I'm past the point of hitting the clubs looking for a fling. So here I am online, where we all spend too much time anyway, looking for something real.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work in marketing and communications for a local university. In my spare time, I participate in community musical theater when I can, go to the movies whenever something good is out, and sing karaoke whenever I find a gig.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
karaoke, poker, Quizzo, making people laugh, grilling, and using proper grammar.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I was spreading rock salt after a recent snow storm and had an irresistible urge to sing "Feed the Birds" from Mary Poppins.

Authors: Nick Hornby, David Sedaris, Chuck Klosterman, John Green. I don't read as much as I'd like to, but when I do, I tend to lean towards fiction that tells stories about people and relationships.

Movies: Back to the Future, Indiana Jones, That Thing You Do!, The American President. Too many to name. I'm also a proud Disney and Pixar fan.

TV: The West Wing, Breaking Bad, Modern Family, Top Chef, Community, Mad Men, Mythbusters, Arrested Development, Veronica Mars, Friday Night Lights. Anything by Aaron Sorkin.

Music: I'm going to put my iTunes on random and tell you honestly the first ten artists that come up. Here we go: Death Cab for Cutie, Barenaked Ladies, Weezer, The Cure, John Mayer, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Bruce Springsteen, Matt Nathanson, The Decemberists, Sara Bareilles. I think that's a pretty decent representation of my musical taste.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Music, podcasts, laughter, friendship, adventure, intellectual stimulation.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Getting songs unstuck from my head.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
either hanging out with friends, trying to find a good bar to sing karaoke and sit and chat, or home watching a movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a little bit curious to talk to someone who is rated 80% or more my "enemy." I bet that would be an interesting conversation.

Also, I own a Muppet. It's important that you think this is awesome if we're going to get along.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're smart, sarcastic, funny and interested in getting to know each other.

I'm not here to mess around and date a hundred people a week. I'm looking for something real and I'll know it when I see it. If I initiate a message with you or message you back, it's because I'm genuinely interested in you as a person.
